A couple of things on a somewhat serious note. From what I recall from Kelly Pickler's background, I happen to admire her. She had a tough, tough childhood, living with a father who was drunk and absent much of the time, and caring for her grandparents at a young age. In spite of her rough upbringing, she has a sweet disposition that comes through the camera.

She's written many of the songs on her albums, which hints at a level of intelligence that belies the dumb blonde image she plays up. She may not be worldly, but she's got to have some smarts to have survived her upbringing so successfully. And book smarts don't equate with intelligence.

What is true? We know nothing but what we see in that video. Plus, I don't give her that much credit. She pulled off one hell of a ruse if that performance was planned. I don't buy it. No way was that planned or even improvised.

But on the flip side of the coin, I find it enormously difficult to believe that anyone could be that dumb, much less write their own songs and rise to her level of "fame".

I will say she might be at least quick witted. If you watch the video again you will notice when Foxworthy is giving her a hard time about women she says something like

"If it was are you smarter than a man I would win"

Who knows....she may or may not be dumb as a rock....but, she is cute and has a nice voice. So, it all balances out.
