Since it was apparently taken down from the original link, try HERE (http://www.theagitator.com/2007/12/22/and-now/)

Typical kookiness, with 2 exceptions:

1) :wtf: is with the Canadian flag?

2) The last 20-30 seconds are EXTREMELY disturbing; watch it and you'll know what I'm talking about.

I've said it before and got some strange looks, but I could, with a clear conscious, exterminate this entire church.

Who else would like to see Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones sue them for EVERYTHING they have?

By linking them on this board, you've just assisted them. When are people going to realize that by IGNORING these pieces of **** you essentially make them a non-factor?

quite true, but at the same time, people still don't know about them. It wouldn't be good if someone is at the receiving end of their comments/attacks unknowingly.

Either way, these are kinda funny to watch as wlel.

I just don't understand how anyone can take a message of Love and turn it into this. ACW, we don't agree on a lot of things, but I wholeheartedly agree, the scene with that child is disturbing. I wish I had not seen this today. I am going out to try to spread a message of love today.

Merry Christmas everyone.

I assume the upside canadian flag in the video is protest to their acceptance of gay marriage

Does anyone know what the documentary made by a guy who infiltrated this church is called? I need to see it. For no other reason than that a gay friend of mine watched it and told me about a scene where he felt an emotional attachment to one of the members of WBC, and I thought the whole conversation was very touching, and would like to see the scene he was talking about.

I also want to make sure that everyone knows that inspite of using the word "Baptist" in their name Westboro Baptist Church is not a member of any Baptist organization, and all Baptist organizations would reject them. I say this because I grew up Baptist, and although I am no longer have any religious affiliation, my parents, and many great friends are Baptists, and I would hate for them to be linked to this organization based WBCs misappropriation of their word.

Indeed! I attend a Baptist church and though they lean towards the right, they are NOTHING like these WBC nutjobs.

if you ever watch the BBC documentary you will realize that the scary thing is that these people are perfectly rational sane people until they talk about their beliefs.... a funny part is when the journalist meets another journalist who was also making a documentary but ended up converting to their cult.

Here is the link to the hour long documentary... if you have the time watch it. Interesting stuff

I hope everyone is appauled and as infuriated at these things as they are with some of the teachings of the religion of peace which sound very similar.

Thanks for posting that video. In a ridiculously twisted way, that's a beautiful film. Especially the ending scene where he finally breaks through and gets the girl to display some real emotion. Noting the irony that she says that she never hurts anyone, but all they can do is hate her, when all she gives is hatred to people who never hurt her. With that particular girl, throughout the whole film, it's clear that she's trapped by her fear of going to hell. She doesn't want to spew so much hate and be hated in return, she doesn't want to tell people they're going to hell, but she's afraid that if she doesn't she'll go to hell herself. And it's terrible, because she's so surrounded by this community who almost certainly would not allow any outside material in she'll probably never read or see anything that makes her fully leave this cult. I felt so bad for her I was crying by the end of that scene.

It's so clear that the worst (and really only) victims of Fred Phelps are his own congregation. His views are so clearly delusional that they're not going to convince someone who wasn't born into the community, the church don't actually commit violence, their protests are so far removed from the events they're protesting that they're easy to ignore. But the people born into that community are forced to live a terrible unfulfilled life. There was a scene where they looked at an old photograph of the congregation and pointed to a bunch of people who left the group. So, maybe there is hope.
