Is when he demoted Brunell 2 notches all the way to 3rd string, instead of 2nd string :D

Collins was lights out in pre-season.
He earned his job.

 I like Brunell but the one thing that always got under my skin was he would play injured and put the team in a bad spot.

Goodbye Mark Brunell. I thank you for that GREAT Dallas game 2 years ago when you threw TWO touchdown passes in 4 minutes to Santana Moss. You also made a great scramble for about 25 yards on a 3rd and about 30. I will always appreciate you for that and remember you for giving us that victory.
With all the talk about Todd Collins and Jason Campbell it must be odd that nobody is even mentioning you. Not even one single whisper about if Todd gets hurt will Mark get some reps or will Mark be ready. Not even a whisper. In fact Jason fans are calling for an injured Campbell to hurry back to replace Todd or at least be ready for this weekends game in Seattle.
I read another thread which said you have already sold your house, so goodbye Mark. I wish you well. You have handled all of this as a true professional and you have been a credit to the Redskins. We will have fond memories watching that Dallas game over and over and over as you snatched defeat out from under us and replaced it with a tasty victory that night.
Goodbye MARK!

If TC leaves via FA the team just might keep MB around. I have to say that MB has been all class since he has been here. I don't understand the mocking. He has proven himself to be a good QB when healthy.

And then some :applause: ...He deserves better from fans, especially right now.

Goodbye # 8! :peaceout:
At least you gave one serviceable year, so you didn't totally waste the money given to you.

What is the point of this thread?...besides to mock him. The season is not over and we don't have any idea how it will finish. Once it is completed, then we will see how what happens.
Why not just support all Redskins players? Hell, we didn't hear from Collins all year until JC gor hurt.
This thread is stupid.

At the time, that game at Dallas in 2005 was our most memorable game since Gibbs 1.0 ended 13 years earlier.
I still get chills remembering how I feared Dallas would score again in the final two minutes until the final second ticked off the clock.

That Dallas game with the bombs to Moss is 1 of those all time great Redskins moments.

If TC keeps playing the way he is then more teams will start to look into getting him. Teams will begin to offer TC more money than the redskins can afford and he could possibly be saying goodbye to us and we would keep brunell.
dumb thread :slap:

I agree about collins. I was at the Steelers game and I thought he really looked pretty good. The one personnel move that Gibbs did that was great and major props to Mr. Snyder as well. No offense to Brunell, who is a great guy, but I don't think that I could have stomached another stretch with #8 at the helm.

Brunell has always been a class guy. The offense has been dealt some pretty tough injuries the last few years, but we were a play or two away in 2005. Brunell is no slouch.

Who's mocking him ?
We're admiring his accomplishments while he was here, paying tribute to him, and graciously saying goodbye, and also crediting Gibbs for making the right decision for putting Collins ahead of Brunell this year.

Precisely. Gibbs couldn't question that.
