Here is an excerpt from an article today in the Bucks County Courier Times:

How drunk was the Linc? A very intoxicated Eagles fan, wearing a green Santa hat and struggling to stand, was found mumbling to an elevator operator about how his two friends had just been escorted out of the Linc for yelling bad words at a pair of female Bills fans. Trying to return to his seat after somehow escaping the same fate as his buddies, the young man kept mumbling and mumbling. “You know,” he said, pushing his Santa hat below his eyes. “This stadium should have a section just for Philadelphia trash, and they should let us do whatever we want,” Upon reaching the stadium's main concourse level, the man was greeted by two uniformed Philadelphia police officers as soon as the elevator doors opened. “I'm home,” he said with a smile.

No, that did not happen. A Redskin fan with his family was jumped by several Eagles fans, and pushed into traffic. He was getting kicked and punched while on the ground, and a car ran over his leg, and did not stop. Don't know who was behind the wheel (Skins/Eagle fan), but THAT is what happened, not what Plane Thrower said happened. Eagles fans weren't trying to throw the man into traffic (I don't think), but that's what happened. Will try to find a link later.

Yeah I am not surprised about the Philadelphia atmosphere there at those games. You have to be suicidal to go in their stadium as an opposing fan. I know that there some instances here at Fed Ex of fans harrassing opposing fans, but what I have seen pales in comparison to what a friend of mine experienced at the Vet. There is a reason that there is a judge on the premises. It really boggles my mind that people are that jacked over a football game and they want to do things to other people that would ruin the fan experience. I am for teasing opposing fans, but trying to fight with them and physically harm them?? Makes absolutely no sense to me. I guess it is the fact that when you add beer to the equation it changes everything.

Jails, or 'holding cells' as they are properly called, are in numerous stadiums. Have been for years. Even RFK had one. :) The Linc does have a holding cell. They also HAD a court, just the same as the Vet did. However, said court is no longer in session and hasn't been for quite a few years now.

I don't know about that one. I once saw a Redskin fan spit on a 10-year-old girl because she was wearing an opposing team's jersey. Lately, Redskins fans have been becoming just as cruel and inhumane as Eagles fans.
