Normally I just read post on here and don't post much but I have found the radio in Seattle hilarious today. I've been listening to Seattle Sports radio for the last hour or so and all they are talking about is crowd noise and how much it's going to bother the redskins. They are making a big deal out of the comment made by Mike Sellars and piping in crowd noise. I find it funny they are just mentioning the fans and not the actual Seahawk players. It's going to take more then "the 12th man" to take down the hottest team in the the NFC!

The metrodome is louder than Qwest. This team plays in the NFC Beast, crowd noise means nothing to them. Besides, those starbucks sippin, Puget Sound swimmin, Salmon smokin terd cutters couldn't make enough noise to phase this team.

And BTW we've also been accused of piping in noise at Fedex, apparently it's what all the cool kids are doing these days...

It's not just that either. I've been there. It rains like 366 days a year. Then it blow 1,000 mph. These people are depressed. It is a scientific fact that if you don't get a certain amount of direct sunlight you can lose your mind. These people have been in a meteorological nightmare for their whole lives. I'm sure they are talking as optimistic in DC. But they are talking about the players not just crowd noise. The players are in the end going to determine the outcome of the game not crowd noise.

Seattle may lead the league in causing false starts, but their home crowd doesn't scare me one bit. The only thing about them that scares me is Hasselbeck getting in a groove.

Crowd noise? Ha.
They will get real quiet when we march down the field and score on our opening drive.

now I dont want to start any crap here, but Detroit was a hot team and we shut them down as well. If your team is only one dimensional it is not really going to be a problem to shut them down. I think the key to a Seattle vic is going to be if they can get Alexander up and running like the old Tiki Barber West of old.

That rule was actually put in place because of the Seahawks and the KingDome. That is why the Seahawks Retired the 12 jersey for the fans. It is rarely, if never used anymore. The Gnats tried to argue about the noise to get the flag thrown in 2005...didn't work.

Speaking of radio, I was just tuning into "Redskins Radio" and heard some interesting "surmising" ...
The hosts were talking to a reporter about today's practice, etc. and asked him which team would be showing up to Saturday's game ...
the inspired one who has already accomplished so much against all odds -or- one lacking in inspiration simply because they have beaten the odds. The reporter said that he has been wondering the same thing ...

if they are talking about crowd noise being the difference they must be scared of their actual chances. i for one dont blame them. the Skins now have a taste of success. by keeping their foot on the gas and not coasting late in the game. i doubt they will be willing to give up that success now.

For anyone who wasn't there for the last playoff game in '05, let me assure you that the crowd noise is a factor.
While I would come close to guaranteeing a victory on a neutral field, I know that the crowd noise will play a role.
Coming out quickly and taking the crowd out of it should be an important part of the gameplan.

isnt there a stat that shows that out of all the teams that Seattle beat only 3 or 4 of them have winning records?
they won ten games and that means what in the NFC West? come on man, 6 of those games were against teams that are just sorry. Only AZ is a halfway decent team.
I am comparing them as one dimensional teams who have totally abandoned the run game and think they can beat us with just the pass.
Detroit may be a gimmick NOW, but back when they were red hot everyone had them making the paloffs.

You're dealing with the NFC Beast now. Where 3 of our teams make the playoffs and even the one that doesnt still poses a bigger threat then your other 3 teams.
Dallass, in.
Gnats, in.
Skins, in.
Eagles, out but still better then the Lams, forty whiners and Cards.

why is the sky blue?
why are boobs good?
why was brett favre on the shelf in ATL?
why did kurt warner play CFL in the beginning?
how did doug flutie have a career as a midget?
Why did Dilfer fail everywhere else but win a SB in B-More?
Why was Romo undrafted?
Why was Montana picked so late in the draft?
Why did Jim Plunkett look too much like Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer?
Why does Vinnie Testaverde keep getting calls to play again?
What the hell is an Aluminum Falcon?
TC has been with Al Saunders for years but stuck behind Trent Green. He would still be a career backup if Campbell wasnt hurt.

You've got the Tip Toe Bandit(Alexander) who runs like he's afraid of contact and Morris.
Hutch'(who made your line one of the league's best run blocking units) is long gone.
Then you have Holmgren who has said that he tried to stick with the run but it wouldn't work,so I'm gonna put the ball in Matt's hands and air it out.

Memo to Seahawk fans, you have absolutely nothing to do with your team actually winning and losing a game.
Yes, I know it feels good to think so. Joe Gibbs feeds us the same feel good stuff here in DC. But truth is, it's what happens on the field between the two teams that determines who wins the game.
I think it's kind of sad if that's all the good folks in Seattle are talking about with regards to this game.

Yes, I have read about the noise at QWEST Field and I heard T.J. Houshmanzadeh say that it was the most difficult place he had ever played. He even said it was louder than Kansas City, which is supposed to be the loudest place in the NFL. I think that the Redskins are really playing well right now and I don't forsee that changing in Seattle. I know that crowd noise is a factor, but if that is what they have to rely on to win, I don't think that their chances are all that great.
