Even if we don't advance and I don't think we will today, it's been a very nice ride. Hey, we made the playoffs when everyone counted us out. With all the diversity and injuries, we didn't lay down. We came out and did what most teams wouldn't have done, MADE THE PLAYOFFS!!!!! We have alot to look forward to next year. If all of our players can stay healthy and we play the kind of ball next year that we play at the end of this year, we'll be fine and might contend for the NFC East Title. I love my Redskins and wish them all the best. Thanks for a great season for what you all have been through and may we build next year upon what we had to endure this year. Go Skins!!!!!!!!!

I hear what you are saying, but when you see a team playing the way they are and they have probably been scheming us for 2 weeks, thus the lose to the Falcons. I think they reviewed us for 2 weeks to get a read on us because they believed we would make the playoffs and play them. I just don't see us winning this game. Like I said, I love this team and have been following them since 72'. They have the upper hand and if Gibby can find a way to break it, it would be his greatest comback in all time, but I don't see it. Go Skins. Go.

Wow, end of the first quarter, only down by a touchdown.

We don't have time for disbelievers.

I hear ya. I hope I am so very wrong!!! I just have a sick feeling about this game. I shouldn't have posted this thread, but the way we have played the last 4 weeks, then this! We get so pumped up for our Skins and then we see this kind of play. Sorry all Mods, you can delete this thread if you want. I am kind of hearbroken by our play thus far.

My friend. I have been rooting for the Skins since you were born. Not trying to punch you in the gut, but I just have a bad taste in my mouth. We all have opinions as fans. OK?

Well then you;ve turned into a ****ty fan. Its not even halftime and we're down for a touchdown, and you're talking about losing. I may be younger, but maybe you're starting to go senile.

Exactly.

This past month has been a roller coaster to say the least--and you want off now? Then get off. More room for those of us that believe in the team.

I am trying to tell all of you that when this team came out and we say how Seattle is taking control of the game that this thing is over with. How we don't make halftime adjustments is beyond me. There should be a killer instinct within each and every player on OF and DF. They need to believe that this is our game and not yours. We didn't have that type of showing when the bell rang like we did in the last 4 games. Sorry, but this team is laying down today and I for one am not impressed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the heart of this team played their game at JKC stadium last weekend to make the playoffs. This is a sad day. ST, I will remember you like every Redskins's fan. You were the key to the DF. God Bless you and hail to the Redskins for making it this far. Go Skins, next year!!!!!!!

Think I am wrong NOW! zHIT! Where's the heart of this team? I do care about our best S lost and our injirues, but come on we have to play football all and this team hasn't today at all. Yes, they kept it close, but it pisses me that we can't be Seatlle who isn't a dominant team. Come on Skins, you got to be kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so pissed, but then again I did predict it. God, I was hoping I was wrong!

Congratulations to the Redskins making the playoffs. Can't wait to see you next year JC. We need to draft O'Line and we'll need a real backup. Brunell and TC will be a year older and a year slower.

Good luck next year everyone!!

January-5th-2008, 06:46 PM
Also...the kickoff should have been a touchdown for Mix. Seattle touched the ball, making advancement of the ball legal, and a 21-13 lead for us...it's over now though.

The Skins went farther than anyone expected, even us fans.

They have nothing to be ashamed of, they even had a chance today, but sooner or later the ball was going to bounce the other way at some point.... too bad it was in the 4th quarter :(

here's to next year, with a healthy team, and confidence coming off this years run at the end

Thanks for the ride

Nice miss there cooley after the onside kick recovery. nice miss there suisham! freaking lame. this is the story of the redskins. we ahve players that are decent, do decent job and when it is time to play the big games, they cant perform.

Nothing to hang our heads about. This team has a lot of issues and the Taylor murder only compounded those issues.

To have a team with this many holes and make the playoffs at all was a pretty good job by the coaches. We got hot and played some teams with more problems than us and a Dallas team with nothing to play for and made it into the playoffs.

I'm proud of the team.

Folks, I'll tell what I will motivate this team to the end degree!!! I believe in motivation. I believe in slaping a player's helmet. I believe in cussing a player out, I believe in bringing everything out of a player that they have in them. Please, if anyone caqn tell me what his phone number is, I will right this ship with ST play and motivate the players, my life and soul depends on it. All of you will probably laugh at me an think, ya here is another board member that is going to say this and that, but folks I have loved the same Redskins that you have and I am tired of us not making it past the 1st and 2nd round like we should. I BELIEVE I CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE. Now, go ahead and laugh, but with might heart, mind and soul if your willing to take a chance on me, I will give all I have. My life is only Redskin's football and my wife accepts it, but when things are going like they are for our Redskin's it's a heartbreaker. Please respond and don't say any crazy things!!!!!!!! I would hope that all of you understand?

If and when I become the motivational coach, things will turn around so quickly, you'd be surprised. Please give me this chance. I wake, talk, eat, sleep, dream Redskin's football day in and dayout.

For what we did after the Taylor funeral is legendary... We made it to the playoffs and had a winning season after we all wanted to forfeit the rest of the season... Today is definitely a sad day for Redskin Nation but we should be proud of how we turned sadness into success...

I feel for you...man this is tough. Much more so than Seattle themselves.

However, the Skins were fired up. They got straight up beat. :(

Edit: As sad as this may be, look at Potato Sack's sig for relief. Always a smile for me.

just my thoughts...

im so sadddd.i dont know if you have seen my posts on here/extremeskins.com/facebook, but i honestly did and will always believe in OUR REDSKINS. I wish Sean was still here with us. After the past several weeks, i felt we were unbeatable in the playoffs, no team could stop us and we would be able to go to the SB;maybe even give his family the championship ring he deserved. His spirit will live on in us forever and hopefully he will continue to watch over the team...

Im not sure how you interpret this, but what did you think about these past 2 weeks. the now famous "we want dallas" picture, it inspires the team, we beat the cowgirls, our biggest rivals, by 21 points. i just thought that really meant something and it was somewhat of a sign, that we would fulfill our dreams this year after such a tough season. i truly believed with all my heart that we would make it to the SB and win it for him. Just like we have been dedicating our past wins to him.

And then we lose again in a revenge playoff game. We enter the postseason with a lot of momentum, the hottest team in the NFC coming off a binning streak. We suck the first half, our D starts stopping the hawks during the 2nd half, we finally score 14 points in 2 minutes, and then throughout the 4th, it was just a big battle. crazy stuff. INT, sacks, penalties and big special teams plays...I feel disappointed, not only that we lost, but because we let him down. The whole nation supported the Redskins organization and we fall apart just like that, in 60 minutes, our dreams are crushed and we cant do anything about it anymore. we had our chance, but we couldnt accomplish our goal.

i am just really feeling down, but that feeling is slowly slippin away. i am just sad we lost. we had it. we really had our chance to prove to the nation AND ourselves that we could overcome obstacles of all kinds, injuries, losses:games and Sean, our greatest player, the leagues best safety. He was taken and nobody will ever fill his shoes, NOBODY will ever be as good as him. he had passion for the game, played his heart out...he commanded respect both on and off the field. Offensive players feared him,yet they respected him as a man. It is sad how he was taken away from his family and at such a young age. he had his whole life ahead of him and everyone has said that he had changed.

Collins was doing pretty good, but he is only temporary. I hate all these people saying that he should be kept as our starter next season, JC sucks and all that ****. im tired of it. JC is our guy, the QB of the future. I admit, he may still be learning, adapting to the game, learning the ropes, but didnt Collins go through the exact same thing many years ago? JC just needs to get more experience, i like him. THE BIGGEST THING IS HE NEEDS TO LEARN TO MANAGE AND FINISH GAMES. if he does that, then he is unstoppable. We made improvements, big improvements from last year. Better D, better O, its just the injuries and all the crazy crap that has gone on throughout the season that hurt us. We adjusted and made it to the playoffs,im glad we made it to the postseason....this offseason, we need to practice, fix the mistakes, grab some good BIG and FAST WRs and add depth to the trenches....we will come in next year as a team, unified. JC,Gibbs and company will lead us into the postseason again as Sean watches over us....

but i truly feel that way. I just felt as though we were unstoppable, but i was wrong. i am still very happy we made it to the post season....It doesnt just give hope to the town, but to Redskins around the world(i know a couple people who are international skins fans)...After his death, the whole nation pulled together and supported his family and this organization. I just wish we could do more for him. As a fan, i couldnt do much; i have been making some computer art since that sad day we lost a great person, and kept him in my thoughts and prayers, but i just felt as a team, including the whole org and all its fans, could do more. It was just simply amazing how we made it to the postseason after such a rough and tough season...Hopefully we will go further in the postseason next year, with a healthy team and a better record.

I admit, as a man, we all have emotions and feelings. I will admit that if nobody else does. I seriously was hurt when i read the news the morning of Nov27. I jumped out of bed and sat at my computer hoping to read some good news. But when i pulled up redskins.com, i was just shocked, i didnt know what to do or think.
I remember on the 26th, i got out of school early and my friend told me bout ST, i went home right away and read all the sports news. CHecking every hour or so, what his status was. The next day, when i woke up to the buzzing of my alarm clock, i read the news on the internet and i just was hit with a wave of sadness. A "shadow of emotion" blanketed me and i remember, that day, i went to school just feeling down. The whole day i felt like that. I wore my redskins gear that day, and for the rest of the week. When the skins started their defense with Sean Taylor's spot empty, i felt sad. Somebody was missing from the field, but not from our hearts. As soon as he was injured, and had to sit out a couple games before his death, you could see an immediate difference in how the opposing offense could get such big plays downfield. If he was there, they had no chance. He was such a great player, the best at his position and no doubt, the best player on our team. Nobody, and i seriously mean nobody will ever be able to fill his shoes and play the way he did. He played with passion and he was just simply amazing. I just reallly really wish, we could do more for him. Wish i could do something for him, but i find myself powerless in this situation. He's gone, and i cant do anything to change it...as a Skins fan, i really wish we could have given his family the ring he DESERVED. he really deserved it.

I am very happy he made it to the probowl and was named starter for the nfc. I hope they pay their respects during the game and start off with 10 men just like the Skins did. God Bless you Sean. We miss you, wish you could still be here with us.
