Wow this team has so much potential. We can now play defense when it matters! We have two clutch players in Arenas/Butler and Jamison ain't that bad. We got great bench players. Now we can just hope we can keep it up and hope Arenas is healthy come playoff time.

January-14th-2008, 09:11 PM
Hey!
Nobody forget Stevenson. He has hit countless big 3's. His shot was the one that started it all. He is such an upgrade over Jarvis Hayes. He and Butler did it tonight.
And this guy is freakin' SIXTH in Forward voting....
I'm sorry but fan voting has got to go...in all sports...it is a joke.

We need a PG and a Center. Kinda sick of seeing Rondo and Perkins struggle through. Hopefully Webber signs with us. We need him. Travis Best wouldn't hurt either.

Me 15 minutes ago: Zzzzzzz...this is the SLOWEST game ever. And we're falling apart in the fourth as usual. ****.
Who would've thought things would have come down to the last seconds? It's good to be on the other side of these types of games for once.
Oh, and **** Boston and their artificial crowd noise.

Down big in the fourth and rally to win. Great finish by Butler, took the challenge from Pierce and took it to him. Wiz are fun to watch this year.
Glad they have decided to get serious about playing defense. This team is dangerous right now.

I somehow doubt that....
if EJ's defensive schemes were implemented tonight, Boston would have scored 120+ points.
But I have to say, I'm really digging this ayers guy.. Great defensive schemes, they are finally covering the perimeter. There was one point in the game, where Allen was wide open and Stevenson was across the court, noticing this, he runs to the other side of the court to cover Allen before Rondo could get the ball to him.. Wiz of old would have just sat there and let Allen take a wide open shot..

well the HC gets credit for bringing him in then. Back to back performances of under 90s to the best team in the east is no easy task.

These two games are an excellent sign for the team. Butler is a f****** WARRIOR. Those two drives at the end of the game were spectacular. :yikes:
A sort of non sequitor, I wonder if we would've won these two games with Arenas? I wonder...
Let's keep this going!
I wish I had gone to the sports bar instead of watching the Hoyas at home. I'll definitley make the short trip for the Knicks game tommorow.

That game was ridiculous! I too switched it off when we were down by like 12, flipped it back 3 minutes later and we were only down by like 3 or 4. What an awesome comeback in the 4th.

Ok I admit it, I gave up on this one too. I was estatic when the Wiz won here but to take it up there and beat them two games in a row, that is fantastic.
Check this out, from the Boston Globe.
http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/articles/2008/01/15/slump_has_caught_them_off_guard/
Ray Allen was 4 of 15 from the field last night and is shooting a career-worst 41.2 percent from the field. The usually reliable Garnett missed five of six shots in the fourth quarter, including a short turnaround with the Celtics trailing by a point late in the game. They blew a 14-point lead in the final 6:22, managing just 6 points the rest of the way, 4 on free throws and the other 2 on a third-chance tip by Garnett.

Last nights win felt like the win at PHX last year....i dont know just something about it.
It all will be forgotten if we dont win tonight against the NY Bricks. Back to back road games are very difficult to win....regardless who the opponent is. (See PHX vs. us and then PHX vs. Minny back in November).
