Collecting Money?

I have a friend who's husband died suddenly last summer and his wife is suffering depression and has had to move. I was asked by some friends to see if I could come up with a way to accept donations from other people. I'm wondering if there are 3rd party people who can accept phone donations or have a website where people could donate money (like paypal). My question is, are there places like this that I could give to some people so they could make donations?

(i'm not asking you guys for donations, i'm just trying to find this info for a person on another message board I belong to.)
