Let's face it, they're gonna get their clocks cleaned by the Pats.
Why will they lose?
Their qb is one of the most inconsistent qbs in the NFL;
Their dbs are about to be 'schooled' by Brady;
Coughlin...he's about to choke.
And I hate those lousy helmets...I mean, really...

If the Giants get smoked, that will do absolutely nothing for me.
Obviously I don't like them, but I actually think it would be more fun for the Pats to lose, and have to suck on it, losing perfection.
Mostly I'm just hoping for a good, exciting game.
And don't forget, there are two teams lining up on Feb 3rd.
Only one of them will have #21 stickers on their helmets.

Eli will actually have to do something in order for the Giants to have a fighting shot.
Simply being good enough to not lose it isn't going to cut it vs. New England.
And when the pressure is on, the results usually aren't pretty.

"Managing not to lose" (verb) - to have 8 TDs, 0 INTs, beating the best rated pass defense in the league (TB), beating the Romosexuals in Dallas, beating Favre in Lambeau, NFC Championship game, Super Bowl appearance.

I'd much rather make the playoff's every other year and get bounced out of the first round, just as long as I could hold on to the fact that my coach was an over the hill, hall of famer.

Not bitter in the least.
The GIANTS, are playing great football, as a TEAM.
Especially the defense and running game. Two key ingredients to winning playoff football.
For 3 playoff games, Eli has managed to not be himself and screw up the great work of the rest of the team. Good for him. My point however, clutch QB play will be needed to beat New England.
And so far, luckily for him, that hasnt been needed. But that won't be the case in 2 weeks.
Enjoy Spagnuolo for one more game. He's the next HC in Atlanta.

Oh, yeah, yeah. Of course you're not bitter, how silly of me to infer such a thing. I'm sure you're thrilled about all of the Giants incredible accomplishments this season, I mean how else could you explain your sad attempts to minimize Eli's tremendous contributions to getting the Giants where they are?
You keep telling yourself it's just luck, and Eli "just not screwing it all up." I'm sure you take great comfort in that "knowledge." I'll tell you another thing, I won't even hold it against you, hell, how could I. I've been in your position before and know how painful it must be to see a hated rival stomp all over your beloved team on the path to glory... it sucks, I know. I feel your pain, buddy.
So you knock yourself out the next two weeks, think of it as a form of self-help therapy. Project your pain and anguish on the Giants, put all of those feelings of inadequacies you have reserved for 'Da Boyz' on my team. You know why? Because nothing you say matters. Repeat after me, nothing you say matters.
The Giants are in the Super Bowl! The Super Bowl! Hahahaha! Think about that! We humiliated the Cowboys on our path to the Super Bowl! Hahaha, everything else is just on the peripheral as far as I'm concerned.
And as for your comment on Spags, tell me this Ms. Cleo, since you know Spags is gone for sure. Did your crystal ball tell you anything about how the Cowboys organisation will be able to handle that many assistant coaches wearing teal and orange next year? Or are you already towing the company line, and down playing their significance?

Another fan of a Dallas rival whose season is complete by simply beating America's Team. Join the club, theres many like you in it.
And nothing I say matters, why do you feel the need to reply? Seems as if I've gotten to you and seems as if the truth hurts.
Have fun the next two weeks, it'll be great for you. Just as it was in 2000, if you were even a fan then. Well, you probably were, for that 2 week period before the Super Bowl then too.
When reality sets in and you again realize exactly why you were screaming cut Eli, fire Coughlin, etc. at halftime of week 3, then again after the home game vs. Minnesota, then again after Dallas swept the regular season series, then again when, oh forget it.
Save the receipt on your recent Eli jersey purchase and leave the tags on or you won't be able to return it to Modells in 2 weeks.

An interesting reason for so much hate TB.
Here's the thing. The Pats lost a player too, who drowned trying to save someone. They noted the media and the NFL showed relatively little love for their loss, while ST was made a constant focus. They decided, and made a statement very respectful of ST, that they would honor their own fallen team-mate. Were the situations reversed, and some Pats fan was taking your position, what would you think about that?

As the eternity of the next two weeks begins, I think I'll be rooting for the Giants. Although they are a division rival, I don't feel about them the way I do about the Eagles, and definitely not the Crackboys.
However, some of Giant fans that show up here, and the new ones likely to, may force me to change allegiance by kickoff.
Either way, my first thoughts are that the Bradiots will put 50 on the Giants.
I keep seeing the team that we beat, in NY, showing up in Arizona.

Look at it this way: if the Giants win, we have to put up with them ALL OFF SEASON. If the Pats win, they go into legendary status and become sort of a pinnacle that all other teams aspire to...but you don't have to reach that goal. You can just win the Super Bowl and have a successful year. They aren't in our division so we won't be seeing them again anytime soon. They can enjoy their status and as they slowly begin to fall apart over the next 5 years, people will forget everything about them except the record and it will be a story you tell your kids about or that gets mentioned in passing on sports center; "well, except for the 07 Pats, this team..." The Giants win will haunt us for longer and much more closely than the Pats.

No. You'll have to deal with the sting of a SB loss...
...and one that will continue to be played over and over again, because you will have lost to the second season-undefeated team of modern times.

To me, the sting of making it all the way to the SB and then losing is worse than being beat in earlier rounds of the play-offs. Even getting to the conference championship and losing is worse for me than losing the week before (because I have the "one more and we woulda been SB!" thingy).
I know I can use the "look how far we went" deal in conversations later(and would :D ) , but the closer I get to the two biggest prizes, the more traumatic the loss.

I just cannot root for a division rival. I will not root for the Giants as I root for the Ravens in 2000, the Patriots against the Eagles in SB 39 and the Bills and Steelers against Dallass in SB 27, 28 and 30.
Let the Pats win and shut the 72 Dolphins up. Who cares. They're in another conference and there will be no smack talk in here by Patriot fans.
Oh, and the Giant fans are getting about as cocky as the Dallass fans were when they were 12-1. Time to lay the reality beatdown on Colonel Coughlin and the gang.

Your bitterness and tears, are like nourishment to me. I can taste them from here, and it tastes of sweet, sweet, victory.
How ironic for a Cowboys fan... I mean seriously, a COWBOYS FAN! To question the fan loyalties of any member, of any NFL team. You just can't make this stuff up. But when you're reeling, and desperate to lash out on those causing your pain, you'll tend to reach for straws, no matter how nonsensical they may appear to a normally fuctioning brain. Come on buddy, the bandwagon is still open for you if you want on. You know you've done it before, you're a Cowboys fan for Pete's sake, it's in your blood. Yes, obviously losing now feels much worse than if we were to lose earlier in the playoffs, but on the other hand, winning now would be much greater than any of the other wins. That's really what being a fan is all about, is it not? It's about putting your heart on the line and either accepting the sting of losing or the thrill of victory.
The real question that Skins and Boys fans should ask themselves is, if the situations were reversed, would they not want to be playing for the Super Bowl? I doubt that any of you would say that you would have rather have lost in the playoffs just so you could avoid the chance that you might feel bad about losing the Super Bowl.
