What do the Giants do to avoid players from cramping. They have had problems with this in warm weather games this season. It is supposed to be in the low 70's for the game. It was about this warm for the Bucs game and they had some cramping.
What do the Giants do prior to the game this week and/or next to avoid this situation?

I've heard that lots of potassium helps cut down on muscle cramping. Bananas and beets both have lots of potassium. Actually, I think Gatorade is loaded with potassium too.
Edit: Gatorade has potassium, but isn't "loaded" with it - 30 mg per serving, or only 1% of the RDA.

Just proper hydration and stretching should do the trick. Then again I don't have medical knowledge

Was this the reason the Eagles (I think) were drinking pickle juice a year or two ago?
I know one thing, if your guys start having issues like they did in Tampa they are screwed.

Send the starters to Cabo next week and tell them to hydrate with drinks that come with umbrella's.:silly:

I wish our players just suffered cramps. We're the most hamstrung team I've ever seen.

I was thinking the same thing. The Skins had a run there for a while where every player was suffering hammy injuries. I hope our trainers figure out the answer this offseason.

I think Romo suffered from menstrual cramps that week.

Cramping is basically caused by lack of sufficient electrolytes in muscle fiber cells. All you need to do is stay hydrated.

I think a lot of this has been covered by previous posts, but here's a good link:

You should get the team to hire a guy named Bubba Tyer. That way all muscles will be pulled and strained thus will not have the opportunity to be cramped.

More Gatorade. Some players only drink water. I heard Randle El does this and he would cramp up so the trainers told him to drink more gatorade.

And when they played that game, I thought Dallas would have the edge since they prepared all summer in the heat and had the Eagles sideline sitting in the hot sun.
