I for one enjoy eating spicy food. The spicier the better. In fact, i'm currently crunching on a fresh habernero pepper as we speak!
Do you like spicy food? How spicy? What's the spiciest you've ever had?

I used to put Durkee now known as Frank's Red Hot on just about anything...
But I've cut back since because of the heartburn and acid reflux I've had.
However, I'll still still eat spicy stuff. Tonight I made stir fry cooked with some of this stuff:

hunan red chili sauce
Its Sriracha ("that asian hot sauce that has the rooster on it" ), but stronger. Technically its the other way around -- Sriracha is weak hunan red chili sauce. Still is delicious.
One of my favorite hot sauces out there of late is Tabasco's Smoked/Chipotle sauce. It is so good on anything mexican and gives a nice flavorful kick to barbecue sauce when mixed in. Mmmm...

We grow a lot of chile right here where I live in southern New Mexico. After a while you become addicted to it and you have to have it. When I've lived away from the SW I've always gone through extraordinary measures to make sure I got my fresh green chile in the early fall to roast and freeze for the year.
It's good when it turns red too but the smell of the green roasting is awesome. It makes some delicious green chile stew or stuffed peppers (rellenos). They developed a good variety of the chiles on the market at the NMSU ag college here so there are some nice hot varieties. I'm partial to Sandia's tasty and hot but not fire.
In short, I can't live without my chile.

The holy grail of spice:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorset_Naga
The Naga Jolokia is serious business.
The pepper is used as a spice in food or eaten alone. One seed from a Naga Jolokia can sustain intense pain sensations in the mouth for up to 30 minutes before subsiding. Extreme care should be taken when ingesting the pepper and its seeds, so as to not get it in the eyes. It is used as a cure for stomach ailments. It is also used as a remedy to summer heat, presumably by inducing perspiration. [17] In northeastern India the peppers are smeared on fences or used in smoke bombs as a safety precaution to keep wild elephants at a distance.[18]

Funny you say that...I used to be able to eat damn near anything....seriously. I think I coulda been on TV.
Now I'm married with kids....and I too have a zesty case of GERD. ON a good note, the drugs still help me somewhat live the lifestyle I did before. :)

That's always been the case for me too. Some foods just taste better hot and spicy!

I love spicy foods. My favorite is probably spicy Korean soups. I love going out for Korean bbq and the spicy tofu soups. (jigae) If you live near Rockville there's a place called The Light House that's just like the Tofu Houses out here in CA. Its on Twinbrook I believe. Looks like this:

I like spicy foods now and then, but to a limit. I mean, I draw the line when food becomes physically painful to eat. What's the point of that?

I'll second that. I love spicy but not just for the fun of it.
Gotta have some flavor

I like spicy food kinda.....one day I switched paprika for Cheyenne ......never again...
1 full tbsp of the good stuff nearly killed me.....I thought I was just being a wuss so I toughed it out.....then when I realized I made the switch I tossed it.....
Who do those monks do it? They kick each other in the nuts all day and eat things so spicy they cry....
In turn they are the greatest fighters in the world ( but can't prove it because that's against code )

I like spicy foods. Hottest I've had is probably Dave's Insanity Sauce.

I love Sriracha sauce, I have not seen them sell hotter (like the Hunan sauce) in stores here, but if I do, I'll buy it. Sriracha is becoming pretty tame to me right now.
Anyone like the Blazin sauce at Buffalo Wild Wings? I tried that once and hurt, but when I take the next step below, which is the Wild sauce, I honestly don't feel a thing. I think it's time I step it up to Blazin again.
Also, I'm Indian as well, nuff said.

Go to Cluck-U Chicken and get wings with the 911 sauce. Hottest thing I've EVER had. Good thing I was wasted out of my mind. IF I was sober it would have been A LOT worse then it already was. Couldn't even finish one wing. Took one bite and ran outside spitting. Took a sip of my Mountain Dew, swirled it around in my mouth, spit it out. Repeated that until my drink was gone. Ran inside and asked for a refill. Ran outside and repeated the process. It still hurt like a ***** after that but I was able to ACTUALLY drink the next refill.

I saw a kid do their wing challenge at a Cluck-U.
5 of those wings. Once you have your first bite, you must finish all wings and not drink anything.
Not worth it. A good wing is a wing with heat and flavor. Unless you need a colon cleanser, its just not worth it.

Might've thought of that if I wasn't so drunk. The sauce is sooo potent that when I fell asleep with my contacts in that night and took them out the next morning, I burned my eye. Also, when I talked to my friend that did it with me the next day, he said after we ate them, he went to the bathroom to pee and burned his...well you know...

I eat the **** out of spicy food, it's the best thing ever. I highly recommend Scotch Bonnet Peppers. They are harder to find, but well worth it when you do.
The only thing I hate, is spicy food almost always gives me hellacious hiccups. Does anyone else have this problem? What causes it, and how can I prevent it and still eat spicy food?

Yeah, gotta have the spicy stuff to survive.
The hottest is between my brothers chili and some killer Jam Bong he makes, where you break a sweat just from the fumes

Same. I love spicy food, but I don't go eating peppers just for the sake of it. If it's part of the meal, I could have it. That said, I tried a habanero pepper in HS and didn't get affected by it much. Don't think I've ever had any food in a restaurant that was too spicy.
