Carfax request???

Could someone please check this for me? JHLRD18601C006250 I hope this doesnt get closed like my post on the last 5 forums I have posted on. I just need one and dont feel like paying $25. I am just trying to find someone nice enough to check 1 for me.

If it doesn't work, you could always go to a dealer. Most dealers I've talked to have access to Carfax and are willing to do it. Tell them you're looking at buying this car and you want to make sure it's ok.

Keep in mind, that they'll do it assuming that if a record comes up with the car you're asking inquiring on, you'll buy from the salesman who is doing this for you. This means 2 things: Don't go unless you know you'll buy the car or are willing to buy from that dealer. Look at the report and ask them to print it out. You don't want the dealers to BS you.

I would imagine it getting closed on 5 other boards should've been a hint to you that, like everyone else who wants to check a car and isn't greedy about it, you should just pay the $25 instead of fishing for generosity. :2cents:

I guess I'll have to if no one here has it. This is the only forum I can go to where I have no problem getting threads closed. This is my favorite one out of all the ones I go to. I was just hoping for a generous skins fan ;)

Maybe it's just me but, unless offered without provocation, I would feel like I was taking advantage and wouldn't feel right asking for something like this. I mean, everyone else trying to buy a car has to pay for it if they're not buying from a dealer.

One of the forums that closed the thread had people asking all the time but they said they had problems with it and stopped allowing it which I knew nothing about. I guess I'll have to wait until I get paid on Friday to get it.

Sounds like he's broke to me. Some people buy a Carfax subscription for a whole month when they are looking for a car, so someone may have some leftover time they aren't even going to use. I don't see a problem from a young person asking for a little help. This forum is a great place for getting advice and assistance on various things. If you can help, great, if you can't, what skin is it off of your ass (not directed towards you). :2cents:
