Okay, I'm in a thread/poll starting mood today. On PTI, Around the Horn and Sportscenter, another big topic of discussion has been the final drive for the game winning TD. So is it the greatest in SB history?

Oh I thought this was gonna be in history and I was like that would be "THE Drive".

The one Montana led in 1989 against the Bengals was impressive.....92 yards I believe. Can't remember how much time was left when he started.....but allegedly "Joe Cool" was calm enough to point out to his teammates in the huddle that John Candy was in the stands.

Why do people associate greatness with a dropped interception by a guy making millions to catch that ball? Luckiest drive ever maybe, and I was rooting for the Giants.

Elis was better only because it was done in far less time then Montana's.

Elway vs Green Bay. I hate Denver, But Elways run WAS impressive.

Alot of Giant fans in here voting I see. Puh Leeeze! Greatest drive ever? Ask #16 Joe Cool about famous drives. Even though they didn't score, McNair's drive against the Rams was pretty impressive. Elway against the Packers? How about the Colts against the Cowboys to win the blunder Bowl 16-13? Or Theismann/Riggins in SB 17? Not a last minute drive, but a very important one. One lucky heave ho and everyone wants to crown him the best QB alive.

Eli should've been picked off twice on that drive, far from being the greatest drive. That one play was one of the greatest but the drive itself was not as impressive as Montana's drive against the Bengals.

Was "the catch" the best? Could be. Was this the greatest upset/choke job ever? I think so. Greatest Super Bowl ever? Well, bets I've seen and probably top 5 in terms of excitement. But the greatest drive? Now you're just talking crazy. It was good. Better than most. But greatest? Come on, it was an awesome Super Bowl win, not the second coming. It has to end somewhere.

Yes it was. Not even close when you frame it around the fact that they were the lowest NFC seed ever in the SB playing an 18-0 team. That drive will be talked about for the next 50 years.

Don't confuse "entertaining" with "best." The drive was very thrilling to watch. It was only above average in execution. I've seen better drives in the pro bowl.
