Since Redskins nation has been divided lately on the shenanigans going on at Redskins park I decided to see if those who didn't want GW do indeed prefer Fassel.

Nobody in their right mind can tell me that Fassel is a better option then GW.

Gregg Williams, without a doubt.

KG Unfortunately Fassel is the only option right now.

There was already a Williams vs. Fassel thread, iirc. The final result after hundreds of votes was a little better than 10-1 for Williams, and that was including some significant ballot stuffing at some point for Fassel.

The vote is for GW. However, part of me is glad its Fassel.....but primarily for GW's sake.

GW has some warts to be sure. However given the state of the roster, and the FO, I don't think anyone other than Gibbs could suceed here.

For that reason I don't want to see an up and comming coach get crushed under the weight of the expectations and the inability to fulfill them. It would be bad for the team longer term. Better to destroy a retread like Fassel.

Either way I'm 100% behind the guy....whoever it is.

Williams is gone. I guess that this is just a "lets get a general feeling of the board" type deal. :)

I selected GW not because I don't think Fassel can be successful here, because I do. But more so because it would have saved the organization the embarrassment it just went through.

I'm not a fan of Fassel's, but one took a previous team to the Super Bowl and the other didn't come close to breaking .500. I like GW as a DC, but I think I'd actually rather have Fassel as our head coach.

One guy proved he could take THIS team's personnel (as it currently exists) to the playoffs amidst the greatest adversity imaginable, despite the absence of his best player, and his best young LB and CB. The other guy was last heard from presiding over perhaps the NFL's worst offense, in the aftermath of his previous firing from oversight of a 4-12 debacle.

Yeah, that's a good point Stormy. Guess neither of them really sparked a fire in me. I'm not convinced we were heading in the right direction last year. Four wins in a row with our backup QB squeaking into the playoffs, then getting creamed, doesn't mean we were heading in the right direction.

Therefore, I have no problem "starting over." Maybe we need a fresh perspective.

Again, I'm not thrilled with Fassel either.
