Although the lack of a GM is definitely impacting the success of the team, so is the manner in which we have dealt with coaches.

No matter who the new coach is, I hope that we stick with him for the next 3 years. One of the reasons I believe the Redskins are an unattractive option for prospective coaches is the fact that DS has the tendency of having his finger on the firing trigger at all times. Coaches and players need consistency for a few years to build success.

After all - many teams needed a few years under a system to get good. What was Dick Vermeil's record with the Rams in year 1? What if the Giants would have fired Coughlin before this year began - and it was a high possibility (my friends who are Giants fans were calling for his head at the beginning of the year).

If after 3 years the coach is unable to show improvement and building towards success terminating the coach at that point in time would not be looked at badly by future candidates.

Of course, the coach can't do everything himself, the talent needs to be there for success to occur.

At what point does a short rope stop being a rope? That's what the next HC has here.

the next head coach, unless he wins the super bowl, will most likely be a 1 and done so danny can lure cowher with trucks of money
