OK, I'm pretty certain I'm in the minority here but I'm a little miffed Joe left the Skins high and dry to go back into NASCAR. I certainly understood him wanting to spend more time playing Grandpa but taking Tony Stewart to the "Principal's Office" after his on-field and off-field altercations with Kurt Busch doesn't exactly look like he's hanging with his "grandbabies", unless he's officially adopted Tony Stewart.

So I'm guessing it was all NASCAR related?

Well, technically one of his son's would have had to adopt Stewart for that to be true.
I think the reality is though that he spent all day, every day working as head coach. There's still a huge difference now.

Gibbs wants to enjoy his life away from the stress. God bless him :)
My only issue was HOW and WHEN left. I think he could have given us an additional few weeks to get the coaching issues resolved as Team President and still walked out in reasonable time to do the other things he wanted to.
