View Full Version : JOE BUGEL for Offensive Coordinator?

Would that be plausible now that Zorn is the head coach? He was the Assistant Head Coach - Offense. I know I know, just title inflation. But he has also been a head coach twice, he has great knowledge of the talent we have on the offensive side of the ball, he could help minimize the impact to a new offensive system - maybe preserving how the offensive line does things - and he would be another nod towards that word that has been bantered around by Snyder so frequently: "continuity". Do the offensive players love Buges like they loved Gregg Williams or Joe Gibbs?

I am thinking that Zorn will be the playcaller as well, so I think it's likely that Bugel may be named the OC. Only thing he won't do is call plays.

I don't see either.
Whoever comes in has to be an established WCO coach, someone that Zorn can lean on.

I'd rather give that position to a young guy.
I think Bugel retires after next season.

Given that he has no history with the WCO, I am guessing/hoping no.

No idea about OC, but how about Joe Theismann as a QB coach?
I've wondered why he hasn't gotten into coaching.

Theres not enough time in the day to listen to all of his talk and to think of putting some of it use in practice is another story.

If they hire an OC, it needs to be someone thats innovative, and hungry not an old fogey.
