I think he is great but he will not fall to #21. BTW try searching next time because there are threads on him already.

Theres a good chance he could fall to 21. Not alot of teams are looking for wide reciever in this draft. Alot of the teams in front of us are looking for defensive players mostly. Early Doucet, Limas Sweed and Desean Jackson might get favored over him even if any of the teams might want to grab a wide reciever.

I don't think there's a chance he'll make it to 21. Early Doucet and Sweed (thanks to his Wrist Injury) will certainly not go before him, and likely not even in the 1st. Maybe Jackson will get taken over him, but Kelly IMO is superior to him in every category except for pure speed and return skills.

He will likely be available at #21 and we would be smart to take him. Look at this description of Kelly on SI.com:
3. Malcolm Kelly, Oklahoma: The Sooners' top target is a big, physical receiver with excellent hands. Kelly, who scored 19 touchdowns and averaged over 16 yards per catch during the past two seasons, is a polished route runner who excels at using his size to create space from defenders at the top of routes. As an excellent runner after the catch and courageous receiver over the middle, Kelly is a perfect fit in a West Coast offense. Even with his checkered injury history he'll probably be selected in the first round.

Zorn has already stated he wants a big WR for his offense. Also, it's likely that not only Jackson will go before him but Mario Manningham will as well.

Kelly could definitely be there where we select. NFLDraftcountdown has us selecting him

Doubt that he would fall to 21st, but you never know. If somehow, he got drafted by the 'Skins and became the go to receiver over the middle, I could hear it now...

It depends on his combine. If he looks like he has good hands, and runs a good 40, the Bills might have to eat him up to compliment Evans.q

Kelly or Sweed would make me happy. Being from Austin got to see Sweed and Roy Williams play a lot and I like Sweed a little better right now or at least when he was heathly.

I love Malcolm Kelly but, I don't think he's working out at the combine. I was looking forward to seeing him.

My problem with him is that he hasn't had a 1000 yard season in his college career. He only average 58 yards per game last year. If there are any sooner fans out there, maybe they can shed some light on him. Generally when you see someone this talented with numbers like this, it's because they take some plays off. :(

Things I notice:
He uses his hands well, catching with his hands..doesn't get into his body much.
Comes back to the ball to make a play instead of waiting for the ball to come to him. I watch a lot of supposed star WR's in the NFL that still wait on the ball instead of coming back for it and making a play.
Doesn't seem to get the greatest separation, the windows are even smaller on an NFL level.(basing this on watching the game footage no idea of 40yd dash times etc.)
Uses his body/size well like a Power Forward in basketball, squaring up in front of the defender to make himself a target and receive the ball.
Appears to have a decent enough burst/quicks to get some run after the catch and make a guy miss for extra yards.
Makes nice adjustments to the ball in the air, even poorly thrown balls he makes plays on, securing low balls, away from him, too high etc.

I'm still curious as to why Hardy was able to put up outstanding numbers at IU, and isn't getting any attention.

He grew up a cowboys fan so F him. I'de rather have sweed or wait until the later rounds.
He also sounded kind of stupid in his interviews.

He played in a vanilla conference and not considered one of the top 2 WRs.
We need height and speed and the WR who fits that bill is Limas Sweed, JMHO.

We are in a great situation for the draft. There is no way Limas Sweed, Malcolm Kelly, Calais Campbell and Phillip Mervin are taken before 21. And if the WR's are gone. How about James Hardy, the 6'7 WR from Indiana in the second round? I would trade up to get him he is a beast.

I'm telling you he is going to be great...i could care less if he liked the boys, as long as hes a great player and wins games for the redskins i could care less
i dont know though, maybe we go another route in the 1st round and take a defensive lineman...and pick up a WR in the 2nd...who knows
I'm just saying this guy is going to do well in this league, you can bank on that

I watched nearly all of the Sooner games over that last three years. It seems that he was involved in schemes that called for out patterns and deep patterns. I really don't remember a bunch of times that he caught many slant routes. When he did though, he caught with his hands away from his body and didn't break stride. OU used Juaqin Iglasius to do most of the inside slant and across the middle routes. At time Malcomb didn't seem to be in the game plan for large stretches or in some games maybe due to the defense.
Keep in mind for two of those three years Adrian Peterson and company were
getting the ball a ton. Take nothing away from Malcomb, he is an exellent receiver who catches the ball with his hands, great hands, and has good speed.
apologize for the length.

Like the guy above me noted he spent two years playing with AD, who was producing most of the offense. He also had a first year starter at QB in all of his 3 years at OU. Kelly was unstoppable early last year for the Sooners, but defenses started to focus their game plan on shutting him down. With other good WRs, 3 great tight ends that were at times all on the field at the same time, and a stable of impressive RBs ... OU chose to spread the ball around to other skill players rather than force it to Malcolm.
The guy who noted Malcolm's ability to come back to the ball and use his hands rather than his body was right on in his overall assessment. MK is not a perfect prospect, but he has huge upside and could fit into what we're looking for very nicely. Personally, I'd like to see us shore up the lines as I think WR is, next to QB, the hardest position to project talent for and adjust to in the NFL.

Are the Skins looking for a true #1 WR that can do everything or are they looking for a WR that can complement Moss and Randel El? Ideally, you would get both in one package. But, if you have to give up a first round pick for the complete package (assuming that's Kelly) you might get better value going for a WR that should be available at a lower pick but who has the skills to succeed in a WCO. My current favorite is Jordy Nelson who should be available in the 3rd (that might be a reach but we don't have a 4th).

Its because he played for Indiana. I definitely think he could be a steal in the draft. There is no doubt that a WR of that size can have a lot of success in the NFL.

Does no one realize how ridiculous it is to assuredly state that this or that player will or will not be available at a given spot? Every year, there is a ton of movement in the month or so before the draft .. up and down boards, etc ... most mock drafts out there right now will be drastically wrong. Every year there are guys who go much higher and much lower than expected. There seems to be a basic overconfidence among posters in knowing who will go where.

Look, all I have to say is CALVIN JOHNSON. End of story.

How many rapping wide receivers do we need on this team?
We should address the WR position through FA. We need to draft a young player for greater needs like offensive and defensive lines. The wide receiver market is way too deep this year to waste with the top pick.

I'm assuming he'll work out on his Pro Day and individually with other teams. The combine is not the only place where players work out before the draft.

I kind of agree with you there. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of signing DJ Hackett, and then drafting a WR in the later rounds.
I say we draft D-line in the first round, WR later

Hackett is a walking injury. The guy has only been in the league 4 years and hasn't had a season he played in where he was healthy throughout. Unless he agrees to come here for a pretty low amount, no thanks.
