Bills signed LB Kawika Mitchell.
Mitchell should slide right in as the strong-side linebacker, pushing Angelo Crowell over to the weak side, but it's uncertain. The speedy Mitchell should be a good fit in Buffalo, and the move gives them one of the better linebacker trios in the league.

Also Reggie Torbor signed with Miami. Giants are starting to get thin at LB.

I don't know that I agree they're one of the best linebacker trios in the league. I think Kawika Mitchell is kind of overrated myself. I haven't heard Angelo Crowell's name mentioned as an elite linebacker. And their middle linebacker is Posluszny from Penn State. This will only be his second season in the league. He did have something like 50+ tackles after 5-6 games, but then broke his arm and was out the rest of the year. Has a lot of promise, needs to stay healthy. I think they could be very solid, with Posluszny possibly developing into an All-Pro, but there are other trios I'd rather have, and I certainly wouldn't call them "one of the better ones."

I don't think I've ever heard Mitchell described as "speedy." Big, strong, and physical yes, but speedy? Any way this loss hurts, hopefully we'll make a play for Briggs now. Good luck Kawika, and thanks for the excellent season.

I think the giants like Wilkinson and if Kiwi comes back at LB, I don't think they will make many FA LB moves. I wouldn't be surprised to see a day one draft pick on an LB though.

The Gints think that Pierce can carry the load and play with anybody on his side. Boy are they going to be in for a surprise.
Mitchell isn't that great but I'm glad he's outta the division.

Mitchell is a mlb who played weakside for a blitzing attacking defense. He now goes to a cover 2 defense. I am perplexed, he sucked when the chiefs played cover 2 and he played mlb, and he is not a wlb either. Wish he could of stayed but wilkinson flashed some great coverage ability and speed when he got on the field. Torbor leaving means nothing but i did want him back as depth. Kiwi starts at slb, wilkinson at wlb, pierce at mlb and blackburn, deossie and daniels are the depth right now. Would of really liked mitchell back as he would have provided depth everywhere and competed wtih wilk for the starting wlb.

Dont know the Gents cap situation but it seems like a fair deal to me. Not sure why they wouldnt want to match.
MITCHELL HEADS TO BUFFALO
The next time linebacker Kawika Mitchell faces the Patriots, it won't be with quite the same level of talent around him.
Mitchell agreed to terms on Friday with the Buffalo Bills, jumping into the division that currently is ruled by the Pats.
Per Adam Schefter of NFL Network, Mitchell's deal is for five years and $17.5 million, with $5 million in guaranteed money.

This pretty much guarantees the Bills go WR with the 11th pick in the draft.
