TAPEH RETURNS HOME

The Vikings have announced that they have signed fullback Thomas Tapeh, an unrestrictred free ageny who previously played for the Eagles.

Tapeh attended the University of Minnesota and grew up in the Twin Cities. He spent two seasons working with Vikings coach Brad Childress when Childress was the offensive coordinator in Philly.

His arrival means that Pro Bowl fullback Tony Richardson likely won't be re-signed.

Amazing, both pro-bowl FB's got shafted this offseason. I guess the FB in the NFL is really going the way of the dinosaur.

Has been for quite a while now. The teams that really were using FB's anymore were power running teams and very oldschool WCO teams. Both are on serious declines and not the flavor or the moment.
