NFL Compensation Picks? When are they announced? We are managing the mock draft here and i wanted to know when they are officially released. Thanks in advnace

I don't know an exact date but they are normally awarded in the last few days of March. I believe last year it was on 3/28.

Don't they announce at the owners meeting which is mid to late March this year?

What all do they factor into that? I don't want to seem like I'm trying to profit from Taylor's death, but will that factor into them?

Why are they such a big deal? They're nothing more than 2nd day picks, and most of them will be worthless 7th rounders anyways.
