ROGERS TO BROWNS A DONE DEAL
According to Hondo Carpenter of SpartanNation.com, who as we understand it is very well plugged in as to the goings on in Motown, the Lions have finalized a trade of defensive tackle Shaun Rogers to the Browns (http://www.spartannation.com/).
In return, the Lions reportedly will get cornerback Leigh Bodden and a third-round draft choice.
Carpenter says that the league office rejected a trade that would have sent Rogers to the Bengals for a third-round and a fifth-round pick.

Yeah, I was surprised to see the headline a short time ago.
Man, the Browns have loaded up the last twenty hours or so.

If a guy named Hondo is reporting it, there is no way that's wrong!

So the Browns now have Shawn Rogers AND Corey Williams in the middle? Talk about a stout run defense. If Rogers lives up to his potential and stops taking plays off, that could be a really good DT tandem.

ROGERS-TO-BENGALS FAN AFOUL OF CAP RULES
It has been reported that the trade that would have sent Lions defensive tackle Shaun Rogers to Cincinnati was rejected by the league. The reason for the rejection isn't clear -- Mark Curnutte of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that the deal ran afoul of salary-cap rules.
It's still not clear what about the proposed trade was a problem.
Meanwhile, the Browns will be getting Rogers, for a third-round pick and defensive back Leigh Bodden.

I thought Leigh Bodden was one of the best CBs in the game and got injured. If that's true and the Browns traded him instead of adding another late round pick(Like a fifth or sixth), then wow they got raped.

But the Browns gave up their 1st for Quinn, their 2nd for Corey Williams and no they are giving up their 3rd for Rogers? Do they have any picks left and are they trying to become the Redskins part II?
