TORONTO -- Danny Dichio's seventh-minute goal proved to be the difference as Toronto FC defeated D.C. United 1-0 on Wednesday night at BMO Field.
The striker was in the right place at the right time when D.C. defender Devon McTavish fumbled his attempt at a back pass, and Dichio got just enough of the ball to roll it into the right side of the net. The game marked Toronto's first win ever against United after four previous losses, including a 4-1 rout on April 5. That game was the last time TFC tasted defeat, however, with Wednesday's victory extending their club-record unbeaten streak to six games (4-0-2). United, meanwhile, suffered their fourth consecutive loss to remain second-last in MLS with just six points.
Sigh....

This is pretty pathetic, considering they were a favorite again heading into this year.

Time to fire the coach. Dallass gave up 5 goals and dumped their coach. Why did we give up Christian Gomez? Him and Fred worked so well together last year.

That's exactly what I've been asking since like the 2nd-3rd game of the season.
You could tell of the bat that Gallardo was a downgrade but since DC's FO was sooo Desperate to bring a name to the the team, they over looked Gomez.

They need to stop trying to bring in the next David Beckham and worry about fielding a good team of 20 players. LA needs Beckham. DC doesn't need a superstar. United has one of the most fanatical fan bases in MLS. I went to a few games with a friend who is part of the screaming eagles, and I was exhausted after the game. Imagine when they get a Soccer Only stadium. 25,000 screaming eagle fans. We have a good goalie, but a poor back 4. We have no one to score or threaten to score since they gave Gomez away.

WASHINGTON -- Mired in a demoralizing slump and desperate to resuscitate their fading campaign, D.C. United finally put together a winning performance on Saturday night, showing grit and resolve to defeat Toronto FC 3-2 at RFK Stadium for their third league victory of the year.
Paced by a man-of-the-match display from Jaime Moreno and a slump-breaking gamewinner from Luciano Emilio, United twice came from behind and eventually captured a hard-won victory to snap their four-game losing streak. TFC striker Danny Dichio scored two goals in defeat.
Embattled United coach Tom Soehn kept with the same 4-4-2 shape and identical starting lineup from Wednesday night's 1-0 setback in Toronto, while his opposite number John Carver followed suit with TFC's first XI as the Reds looked to continue their six-game unbeaten run.

I've been going to the games since the very first game in 96 here vs LA.
But I'm not part of the Barra Brava.
