Olson looking good, no runs through 5 with 7 Ks. Makakis had another outfield assist in the third, gunning down Damon at the plate to end the inning.

Markakis goes deep to center! 9th HR of the year. He has doubled and homered today. 1-0 Orioles.
And the O's fans on ES go wild!
Huff follows with a double.

Hernandez singles leading off, Roberts walks with 2 out, and Mora follows with an RBI single! 2-0 Orioles still batting in the 7th.

We have to win at least two against NY especially with Boston coming to town. Unfortunately, it's Burres tonight and I don't have much faith... :(. Hopefully our offense can help him out.

omg. you guys this was the craziest rain ever. We were out running errands for our pre-Sox party Saturday and listening to tonights game on the radio. We finished up errands and it was tied at the bottom of the 6th. We decided to go grab a beer in our local bar to watch the last few innings. The bar is maybe 8 blocks from Camden Yards. We see the rain on TV and I swear to god, every single person in the bar turns their heads to look outside! -- no rain. It didn't even start raining in Federal Hill until after the rain delay was called. Of course its pouring now but it was so odd.
I agree with the others that the game should have been called. Thank goodness Damon didn't score and more importantly no one got hurt. I think Trembley's arguing at the was 60% for serious and 40% for show, I mean it did work out in our favor. (fingers crossed)

Pretty funny after Palmer basically suggested it was bs that he was pitching against the O's tonight. It's weird being on the other side of announcing homerism. I never thought Thorne was that bad, but he was really pissing me off tonight.

Only on the one half of the plate. He wasn't getting calls he should have on the catcher's right side, but he was getting calls he shouldn't have on the catcher's left side. Of course MASN was only showing the ones that were bad calls for the O's with the strike zone thing.
Good win for the O's. The Yankees really need to find some consistancy... and a left hander in the bullpen.
By the way - I don't think I've ever seen Rivera pitch 3 innings.

Holy jesus! What a win! Can't believe I missed the last 6 innings. I had to go to a class at 6:00 so I left when we were down 8-4. I checked the score on my cell around 7:30 and saw that we had tied it 8-8 in the 8th. The comeback kids! It was a HR derby tonight huh? I just saw the highlights on Baseball Tonight. What's funny is that I called a first pitch HR on the first one Millar hit. I said outloud to myself, "first pitch HR to deep left." Boom! God I love this team. Determination. For the first time in recent memory this is a team with heart and grit that never gives up. We may make the playoffs or we may not, but rest assured we will grind every game. And that is why I will continue to watch(unless I have a stupid driving class like tonight:doh: ). Orioles Magic!

I DO NOT leave games early. Games like this are my reward for sitting in the hot, cold,
rain and suckage. After the delay, they let everyone come move down. I was about 10 rows behind home, towards first base a few steps.
Giambi's dinger was an explosion. Markakis didn't even move. The Yanks seemed to rally with two outs every time.
Yanks blew a 4 run lead TWICE in one game, both over less than 2 innings. That's pathetic.
The home plate umpire was absolutely correct too keep playing in the rain as the team pitching wasn't the one bitching. Umpires are reluctant to have delays mid inning as its a disadvantage to the team on defense. It wasn't THAT bad anyway.
Had Torre stayed, He'd probably be fired by now.
I can't believe Markakis' shot in the 11th didn't get out. How about Cintron, though!
Too bad the Yanks IBBd Scott in the 11th. Talk about a back story, there. Hawkins got what was coming too him.
ARod wasn't un-clutch. He was unlucky in the 11th. ****ing smashed that ball right too Roberts.
It was about 65% O's fans. The Yanks fans don't make any noise unless they get two runners on. Then its as if some magic douchebag fairy dust is sprinkled on them and there they go...

Part of me is OK with this slide. Maybe if we stop winning, we'll stop seeing players like Millar, Huff, Trax, etc. play such a big role.
I'd rather see the young players (especially someone to replace Trax in the rotation) and have us lose, than see the old guys and have us lose a couple less times.
actually I like the mix and the VETERANS have kept us in these games, but they do need to rest those guys and stick the youngins in to get experience...
Best game I have seen in a long time...Does anyone else notice that MASN will play O's games on their HD channel only when they play the Nats or the Yankees....bunch of BS if you ask me....
