The pukes' are building this guy up to be the second coming of Christ!

Unfortunately, they're dealing with the devil.

Pacman Jones worked with the second- and third-team defense in just his second practice.

IRVING, Texas - In previous years, the third week of OTA practices didn't draw much attention.

Let's just say that wasn't the case here Wednesday at Valley Ranch as the Cowboys took the field in front of an overflow crowd of media and guests, and any other onlookers who could get a first glimpse of the action.

And while this team has established stars such as Tony Romo and Terrell Owens, who was back at practice after a busy Tuesday that included personal business in New York and then his popcorn-filled press conference at Texas Stadium to announce his new deal, all eyes on this day were fixated on one Adam "Pacman" Jones.

The newly-acquired cornerback is practicing for the first time this week after the NFL partially reinstated him following a one-year suspension in 2007. Jones is allowed to practice with the team in this week's OTA (organized team activity) workouts, and the mandatory mini-camp on June 17-19 at Valley Ranch.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is also allowing Jones to practice with the team at training camp and play in the preseason games, and will make a final decision before Sept. 1 on whether he will be able to begin the regular season with the club.

But for now, Jones is just excited about the opportunity.

He spoke to the media after practice in his first official press conference since joining the team on April 29 through a draft-day trade with the Tennessee Titans, who selected him sixth overall in the 2005 draft.

"There's a lot of relief . . . I've been waiting for this day for a whole year," Jones said. "I'm just happy to be a part of this team. I'm happy to be back on the field.

While Pacman Jones stole most of the attention, outside linebacker Greg Ellis also was back in action again. He missed last week's OTA practices, along with Tuesday's practice because he was bothered by the Cowboys reducing his practice reps.

Ellis did not speak to reporters but head coach Wade Phillips said he had a positive meeting with his outside linebacker earlier this week.

"Greg was out here practice with his teammates, that's the most important thing," Phillips said. "Part of what I do is working with people. I can work with players. We can work things out. Greg came to me, which I appreciated, and we worked things out."

While Ellis was back on the field, wide receiver Terry Glenn was not. Glenn continues to sit out of practice, still rehabbing his right knee. The Cowboys have asked Glenn to sign a $500,000 injury settlement for this season if he re-injures the right knee. Glenn has not signed the settlement, but team owner Jerry Jones said on Tuesday he expects something to be worked out between Glenn and the team.

Among the guests in attendance Wednesday were Deion Sanders, who has befriended Pacman Jones here in the last few months, giving the cornerback advice for both on and off the field.

Also, IndyCar racing champ Helio Castroneves, a two-time winner of the Indianapolis 500, not only attended practice, but ran routes on cornerback Terence Newman and caught passes after practice from Romo.

Castroneves is in town this week for the IndyCar race at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

As much as I can't stand Dallas or Deion, I must say, it does appear as though he has changed his life around.(Deion) And can be a good mentor to Jones. Although I will forever root for Dallas to suck, to lose every game, I actually hope that Pacman gets his **** straight. Not for his sake, or the sake of Dallas, but only for the sake of any innocent people that might be hurt in his wake.

The sun shines on a dog's ass every once in a while. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts Pacman. The ghosts won't be blue for long.

Since TO got his popcorn at his signing, did they give Adam Jones a trash bag full of money at his signing?

It kinda makes me mad that the Cowboys acquired PacMan while he was suspended, because Jerruh KNEW he could pull some influence in the commissioner's office and get Jones' suspension lifted. It feels like Dallas has a back door approval to make sneaky moves

IMO suspended players should NOT be tradeable (just like injured players). This whole move has set a BAD precedent for the league

It's fine. We brought in Arch Deluxe and hailed him as our solution at safety. That worked out well.

Seems I remember similar words shared here about TO. Its going to be kind of hard for Pacman to screw up real bad with the 4 personal security guards Jerry hired to be with him at all times. Just something to keep in mind as you wait for the "predetermined in your own mind" implosion to occur.
