Question On G-Mail & The Google Toolbar

Is it possible to synch these together so you get an alert in the toolbar when you have new mail?

I'm basically wondering if they have something like that. Kinda like when you have Outlook running in the background or Yahoo messenger & you get an alert when you have new mail.

download Gmail notified or Googletalk. Both have that feature.

Gmail notifier gives you a blue envelope on the bottom windows toolbar that pops up like Outlook when you get a new message....

I installed Talk. For e-mail notification, is there an audio chirp that can be turned on? Right now I'm just getting a square notice that pops up & then slides down the screen.

That's an excellent question. I don't know. I never bothered to look because I typically turn off all those audio indicators anyway (my AIM runs silent).
