Dale Earnhardt Jr., on TNT NASCAR prerace Sunday, talked about envying his friend Chris Cooley, a Washington Redskins tight end: "I'd give up everything I've got to be Chris Cooley for a season. Hell, yes!" Sounds like the basis of a new reality TV show, especially if Earnhardt and the Washington Redskins had to, say, live on a deserted island.

Yeah, all of a sudden Cooley is JR's friend and Dale wants to be him for a season? I bet this has NOTHING to do with Cooleys new wifey to, right?

Last year they showed Jr asking what the score of the Skins game was during his race. Of course he likes Cooley he's a Skins fan.

If you ever listen in to his conversation...he asks almost every race the skins are playing. There have been times they lied to him, because they knew he'd be upset if they were losing, so they would say 0-0....he eventually caught on :laugh:

To tell you the truth I think most nascar fans by nature are either skins or panthers fans. Probably has a lot to do with geography and not liking atlanta

I don't think he does, otherwise she'd join him at the track I would imagine, and I have never seen him with one. So if he does have one...no one knows about her.

John Roberts the announcer on nascar on speed is another big skins fan thats the only other one besides jr and hamlin i can think of maybe Kyle Busch likes the skins too who knows

Yeah he's a Colts fan. Only reason he was cheering for the skins was because of Gibbs. I think it was Labonte, or Martin who were also Skins fans.

But I remember reading an interview with Jr., and he mentioned when he met Gibbs in the garage area for the first time that he was real excited and acted like a fan would.

They've been buddies for a while. I remember hearing Cooley on DC 101 last year talking about about how he went down to NC to hang with Dale Jr at his home.

Steve Byrnes, one of Fox and Speed's Pit Reporters is a huge Skins fan. He grew up in New Carrollton, MD.
