Do you know what network is broadcasting it? I'll flip between the draft and the Nats game.

Man these hockey draftees look like they're about 12 years old. So different from watching the NFL draft. McPhee was saying this is a really deep draft so we might get something useful at 23.

Most of these guys are 3-5 years out if you are lucky.
Not much different than baseball.

I know...just seems like they look younger every year. Maybe has something to do with the fact that I get older every year.

This draft is entertaining...the people come up , before they make their selection they give props to Boston for winning the world championship

"21. WASHINGTON CAPITALS Analysis
Anton Gustafsson
C, Vastra Frolunda (SWE)
TSN Rank: 30 McKenzie: Interesting pick. The reason he was rated so low was the fact he has a partially herniated disc in his back. He has the talent, but his health made him a draft wildcard. His father is former Cap forward Bengt Gustafsson."

Pick #54 and pick #23. Not a bad trade but you have to wonder if it was worth drafting at a position we already are stacked at and a guy who has a moderate injury flag. Looks like a legacy pick.
I love the John Carlson pick. Not to happy about Eminger getting traded but it seemed as if he would never get a chance here anyways. Carlson is the big hard hitting d-man everyones been calling for since about forever. He will be playing for Dale Hunters team in London :applause:

Blast from the past with Gustafsson. Carlson will be in the minors for a couple of years. They said he's big, but a bit of a project. Nice little haul. GM GM is doing a heck of a job. We had a log jam at defenseman with Alzner ready to play, so Eminger was the odd man out.
I noticed Philly traded alot of their players. Seems to me, they have too much turnover which hinders them, even though they lucked out and made the conference finals.

i like both our picks. both young, but i trust our scout. our farm system appears to be doing its job and doing it affectively

I'm feeling old now. Dimitri Kugryshev is 7 months younger than me...
He looks like he's got potential, especially since RW is one of our shallower positions. He's a bit unpolished from what i've read, but that's to be expected of an 18 year old. he'll be playing in the Russian Super League next season, so I guess we'll get a real idea of what he can do when he starts playing there.

I really like that kid Della Rovere. He's real tough and even though he isn't all that big, he's a heck of a fighter and a hard worker. He's an agitator, but he's a leader too(named Captain of the Barrie Colts for next season). Here's some of his work, he's number 19 in black

The Russian forward could be good. McPhee says he was a first rounder but slipped because of some transfer issues from Russia to America. I think hes playing in a better league next year which should give an idea if hes as good as his numbers suggest.
RW is the weakspot on our team. I liked Semin as a RW but I guess Boudreau wants him on the left side... I'm not a Kozlov fan. Dude has been MIA in the playoffs for his whole career.
