Answer: no, but they needed a catchy headline.
Still, things continue to look just awful for Six Flags. Here's a quick, somewhat interesting writeup with a link to a personal blog about a pretty representative day at one of their parks:

I'd give it maybe one or two years before the Six Flags America park in Maryland, plus probably two others, get sold off. Probably the parks in Kentucky and New York. But time will tell.
(I was going to suggest the park in Denver, only to remember that they already sold that one...)
