Dee Brown is not the Solution at the Point!!! If he's the only pick up from Gilbert signing for less we have wasted that $$$$ away!!! WE WILL REGRET LETTING ROGER MASON GO!!!!

You may need to take your screenname advice. He is projected to be our third PG behind Arenas and Daniels. Nick Young is Roger Mason's replacement. Young will be getting Roger Mason's minutes not Dee Brown.

I like how Young plays, he's not afraid to take it himself and drive the lane...

WE WILL REGRET LETTING ROGER MASON GO!!!!The only reason Mason got playing time was because Arenas was injured. Mason, had he been resigned would have been our #3PG. $3.75M is WAY too much to spend on a #3PG. Dee Brown doesn't need to be the solution because he won't see the court much.

Roger Mason was more of a SG....he was Stevenson's back up....he wasn't resigned to open up minutes for NY....not to mention the salary he demanded.....

he was worth the salary...but being he would end up 3rd on the depth chart any way you look at it....it was a wise financial move to not resign him.

Just remember, not every player on the roster has to be an allstar. If he fills the role of 3rd PG and 5th guard off the bench, that's what he'll do.

I wouldn't worry about it too much...he'll most likely be spending time with Pecherov discussing thier DNP-CD status.

I don't want to see Pecherov on the floor at all this season....unless we have a 20+ point lead w/ less than 5 minutes left in the 4th quarter!

 Not even if he is playing well? Give the guy a chance!

I did...he is a big man who shoots a three every time he gets the ball....it would be one thing if he had a decent shooting percentage....but he doesn't.

and he's soft!....just like all our other big men.

Etan Thomas is probably the hardest big man we have....it's just too bad he has the weakest skill set out of the big men as well.

I'm glad to have Thomas back....a lot of people on here bust on him and just ***** about his terrible cap number. yeah, his cap number sucks....but at least he plays with a lot of intensity! Etan and Deshawn are the only scrappy players on this team....can't wait to see them play together this year!

1. This is a stupid thread

2. Brown has been running the offense just fine.. but when you have people w ho consistently try to go one on one and turn the ball over like Young and Blatche it voids what a PG is doing.

3. We have no spot up shooters when he drives and kicks.

4. His on the ball defense has been very good.. have you not opened your eyes?

5. He has forced several turnovers

6. he very easily could be hoggin the ball right now, but he has played within the system in this summer league.. which is very rare and says alot about his maturity.

7. He is expected to be the third PG for god sakes. Can we let him get acclimated before we act ignorant?

Why would you blast a guy who has been solid but not remarkable, and not say anything about how Blatche has not improved in 4 years. Still plays below the rim, still turns the ball over, and still gets in foul trouble whether the limit is 6 or 10.

Seriously! the man would be averaging 10 assist per game if we had decent shooters on this summer league team! He does the drive-kick very well!

Dee Brown has been doing very good this summer. He's got great handle and is an excellent passer....not sure what the hell this thread is talking about.

Touche on the exclamation points btw, finkle is gonna put an eye out with one of those things

Over exaggerations and SCREAMING!!! on a message board isn't flattering to any of you. (you know who you are)

He is our 3rd point guard, get a clue OP...and like someone else said...Mason wouldn't have done anything this year had it not been for Arenas getting injured. He wasn't just Stevensons back up, he was Daniels as well....or did we not watch last season?

But seriously...what with all the doom and gloom posting about the Wizards? Did you guys really not want us to resign Jamison and Gil and try to get someone else, only to probably have those players not even sign here, leaving us in a real pickle? We resigned our players, we know what we got, and that's that. Get over it, we never had any money to resign anyone of importance other then who we already have.

So get a clue, and stop making stupid threads about how our 3rd string PG is "Awful!!"

I'm starting to wonder if most of the people who post in here are even Wizards fans. It's obvious from the posts in here who is.

WE WILL REGRET LETTING ROGER MASON GO!!!!

Oh and btw, in the beginning of the season...when Arenas was playing....Masons minutes were..(in order) 8, 5, 22, 5, 5, 1, 4, 0...

In the game he got 22 minutes in, he got a total of 6 points. After the 0 minute game, (that's when Gil declared he wasn't healthy) Masons minutes went up, and for the month of November he averaged 9.7 minutes a game ...and a whooping 2.5 ppg...that's what we would have gotten if we had resigned Roger Mason, with a healthy Gil back....

Dee Brown and Roger Mason are not the answer at PG....but we didnt get Dee to be the answer....He is a thrid stringer. We wont regret losing Mason. We dont regret Jeffries going or any Jarvis Hayes and if Poet disappeared from this team tomorrow we would not regret it either. Just because you had a mancrush on Mason doesnt make him the next Ray Allen or Steve Nash. Put it in perspective.

I do think they are (some-what) I guess u could call extremely negitive fans that go far beyond negitive, to emo status. And they are fair weather fans that only watch the playoffs and try to judge us because of them.

Agreed.. that was a little harsh. I just get frustrated at how he makes the same mistakes he did his rookie year and I believe he should be alot tougher at the rim. Other then that hes moving in the right direction.

I couldnt agree more....I dont like seeing a guy who is 6-11 attempt a finger roll when he is right at the rim. THROW IT DOWN BIG MAN!!!!...Get nasty dray, I'd give anything for him to play with a mean-streak.
