I am kind of new to the board so if this has been done in previous years, please delete this thread…I did a search and came up with nothing!!
There have been tons of posts recently about guessing the skins record for the upcoming year and I figure I would add a little twist to make it a little more exciting…
I was thinking with all the disparity in regards to the Skins record this year amongst all of us fans, we should do the first annual ES Redskins Survivor challenge...
If you have ever played Survivor football before, it’s going to be the same concept except you have to pick the winner of each Skins game.
There are several ways to do this…
Option # 1
All picks for the year must be submitted to me via e-mail or through a private message (pm) as late as 8/15, so I can build a spread sheet with everyone’s selections…following the outcome of the game, I will post the names of everyone who picked the winner and also list the names of people who have been eliminated.
Option # 2
All picks must be in the Thursday prior to Sunday kickoff, and it must be posted within this thread. Winners will move on to the following week…loser will not.
Option # 3
Everyone could just submit their picks for the whole season before kickoff that Thursday within this thread...
Personally between the 3 options, I think I like the first one the best…I could even post everyone’s picks for the upcoming week the Friday/Saturday before the game if needed. I like the first option because the whole argument here is the DISPAIRTY of opinions on the skins record this year so if the Skins are playing great by week 3, you might change your mind and have them beating a team who you initially had them losing to. It also adds the whole “survivor” element to it when you have to go back and check on who else might still be around…
Another example, lets say we play the eagles and McNabb gets hurt, well picking the skins to win should almost be a no-brainer however if you had us being a 4-12 team which some people think, then you probably would have us losing this game.
So please give me some feedback and let me know which way would work best or if anybody is even interested. If you have another idea please feel free to submit that as well…
Maybe the mods would even let the winner get a special avatar for the year?
