View Full Version : Girl problems. Am I a bad person?
Mayers
August-5th-2008, 09:17 PM
Okay so today my ex-girlfriend of a year called me and started yelling at me and said she couldn't believe me. She was mad that I recorded me playing a song on guitar that was once "Our song" onto a CD then giving it to a girl I like cause she really likes when I play. I only played that song cause it seemed fitting in that kind of situation. Yes I know im only 15 and shouldn't have these problems. I really didn't think it was a big deal but what do you guys think? Any advice?
Also: I've tried being friends with her after we broke up but it always seemed akward. Any advice with that?

Man, do what you need to do. She doesn't own the rights to that song. And who would you be to deprive another young lady of the Mayers charm? :) Tell your ex to mind her own business.
And you're under no obligation to remain friends. If you both want to, cool. But don't force it...
Good luck man! Knock 'em dead

Her thoughts are irrelevant.
You don't need to be her friend or feel bad. Move on.

Tell your ex-gf to get off your nuts. You can give the song to whomever you choose and she's had ample time to get over you.

Don't be friends. It is a complete waste of time at any age really, but especially at 15 since you probably will not talk to 95% of the people you know right now every again in 5 years. So there is no point worrying about it.

I don't care for that song, I guess mainly because it was so over-played when it came out. However, in this case, Code's advice is money.

Yes, son, you are a baaaaad person.
But for real... there's very little point in being friends with an ex (except for certain circumstances). There's always "something" there, whether it's love or hate. Too complicated, especially at 15. Don't talk to her anymore and go out and live your life!

She's clearly crazy. I had no idea what *67 was when I was 15. Hell, I'm just making an educated guess from your post what it is. At 15, the only people who love you are family. Cut your losses and record another song for the new girl. Make sure the ex finds out.
Good luck sir.
P.S. Good use of contractions. I hate it when people get your and you're mixed up. Way to go!

Don't know if anyone mentioned this yet, but those are the ex's you have to cut off completely. To a girl who still likes you 'lets still be freinds' means 'you still have a chance.' Do both of you a favor and don't try too hard to be cool about things by being her friend. It'll never happen.

Fergasun
August-6th-2008, 12:29 AM
This is why Fergasun's rules of my children dating will be "don't date anyone until college"... seriously this stuff is so stupid and trivial in your life that it's not worth even dealing with it... by "this stuff" I mean "relationships before you are 18" heck, "relationships before you are 20"... honestly man, you don't even know yourself as well as you will in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 years.... it's really not worth it especially when you get involved with a girl who doesn't know herself in 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 years... heck I know 30 and 40 year olds who don't know themselves...
And to be honest when I was 15 I wish someone would've given me this advice... girls aren't worth the trouble and the likely hood that the girl you are with when you are 15 is the girl you are with when you are 25 is pretty slim (yes it happens...) but man, you really don't start living your own life until college... sorry to say this to everyone under 18...
I know there are some people out there who really could care less about a "relationship" and more about a "boyfriend/girlfriend" but I think in these days we need some type of boyfriend/girlfriend moratorium... just a stupid waste of youth and energy.

I had a girlfriend named Melissa and a friend named Dan.
She is my favorite ex and he was my best.
He played guitar and her bass. Great, time off for me.
When we broke up (because I cheated again) they started to date that week.
They started a band and covered our song.
The bed's to big without you, by the Police or Sting I think.

Ignore her, that's the most retarded thing I've ever heard haha.
As far as staying friends goes, just kinda let whatever happens happen, that's how I always do. Sometimes it's not weird at all and we're really good friends(actually I have an ex that I'd say is about my best friend if not my best friend... There's like 4 friends it'd be hard to pick between lol) and then sometimes we end up never talking again and then of course sometimes in between.
Basically, don't really worry about any of it. It's just teenage girl trying to be dramatic bull****.

Just be honest with her . That song wasn't even yours and hers. It was yours and some other girls first. You just used it with her to get in those pants. She fell for that old "our song" bull ****, so you thought you'd give it a try with this new girl. And if the song doesn't work you'll have to tell her you love her. If that doesn't work you'll have to pull out mans secret weapon. We have had this weapon for years to get the old YKK to go down.:shhh: Kentuky straight bourbon whiskey. This is only in extreme cases where the teachings of her parents, not to be a slut, have really taken hold. :silly:

You are 15.
If you start doing what girls tell you to do NOW, by age 21 you are going to be nuts!!
Leave it alone.
Girls at 15 should live on one side of the country and boys of 15 on the other.
Would certainly make MY life so much easier.

Just keep moving forward my man. Believe it or not, you'll probably run into crazier chicks when you get older. Do you go to school with her? If so, just think about this...she's a crazy broad mini stalking you....that will increase your chick rating to like 97.5. Other girls are going to wonder what you did to drive this chick wacky.
Just play it cool and continue to work on your pimp skillz. She'll move on and bug some other dude once school starts.

All right... These words i am about to share with you all are GOLD....
#1... I was asked advice on relationships from a good friend of mine who was going through strange times with his girlfriend... He asked me for any insight on how I would react to the situation... I looked at him and said, " Dude, you want some words to live by? I know enough about women to know that I dont know anything about women, and for some reason.... Im totally okay with that."
#2... Here is my way of explaining how it works... All women are crazy... but what they do is when they meet you they take the crazy and store it in a metaphorical bottle which they cork... Once they feel you are getting attached to them they will pop that cork and start letting the crazy about a little bit at a time to get you used to it... Its a !@#$ up system but thats how they work my friends...
Much Love

True story.
When I was 15 I dated this girlie for about six months. We had a rough breakup, arguing and such but after a few months we began to speak to one anothe again. A few months later I moved to Florida. Fast forward 20 years to the present. I'm back in PA for a year long stint with the phone company. I happen to bump into her. She invites me over to her place to "catch-up". We're "good friends" again only much wiser.
The moral of the story is never burn your bridges ya never what could transpire down the road. ;)

Nah, I'm not going to college... Since you're around here you probably know what MTC is. I'm taking auto tech there, I'm going into my second and last year and gonna be a mechanic. I have a job as a Rockingham County mechanic pretty much waiting for me when I finish MTC and it's pretty likely that this year instead of going to MTC, I'll go to TA(my high school) the first half of the day then instead of going to MTC the second half I'll go work at a dealership or something from 12-6. So yea I pretty much have all my **** planned out and not going to college. I hate school so I'm sure as hell not going to 4 extra years haha.
But yea, like I said I have season tickets to football and basketball so I guess I'll see you haha maybe I'll yell out Reddrummer or something if I see you lol. We're in the third row on the 40 yard line behind the JMU bench to the right of the 50 from our view. Well as long as we have the same seats this year, which I'm 99% sure we do.
