I was browsing my usual MINI fansite (need something to keep me motivated as I wait for my damn car to get here from England) and I saw this thread about the most that you've ever put in a MINI Cooper.

The OP of the thread, he ended up meeting Gilbert Brown, former NT for the Packers and a pretty big car buff.
Here's a picture of Gilbert Brown fit comfortably in the drivers side. Brown is 6'2" and about 350lbs.

Remembering that scene in Police Academy, where Rosie Greer and Steve Guttenberg rip the front seats out of a Pacer(?), so Rosie can sit in the back seat and learn how to drive.

Heh actually VWs are great for tall people. I went to HS with twins that played basketball, one was 7'1 the other was 6'11, they both drove vw beatles, older models. I always asked them how the F*** do you all fit in those things, they said they have tons of room.

A good 5 years ago just about the time they introduced the Mini I had a chance to sit down in a display car in Baltimore. I'm a pretty big guy at 6'4" 250lbs, but damn, I sat more comfortably in it than I did in my Grand Cherokee at the time.

The interior has been redesigned since then and is said to be even better. I never sat in the original but the new model (as of 2007) fit me well. I'm a short and stocky guy that has problems fitting comfortably in foreign cars (my Acura Integra for example) but had no such problem with the MINI.
