They don't yet. They are on Sirius. The two companies have merged, but the programming has not as of yet. And even when it does, you may not get the NFL with your XM receiver. I have still not seen a clear explanation of how programming is going to be going forward.

Well, then, what channel are they on for regular radio?
Edit: I mean Sonny and Sam

Hey, no problem.
Sirius blows XM out of the water any day. NASCAR, NFL and Lithium, I don't need anything else.

LOL Snyder has probably allowed a lot of people to get tricked into getting XM thinking they will get to hear the Redskins on one of the stations.
"XM - Official satellite radio sponsor of the Washington Redskins - and the only satellite radio company you can't hear anything about them on."

That always makes me think, WTF? You can get score updates from ESPN Radio on Sundays but that's about it.

Amen brother.
I think the merger will help us all though. IMO, XM has better music channels, but Sirius rocks the sports. We'll all be getting a MUCH better product once everything is finalized.

Do I undestand that it will be broadcast on Sirius? If so, what channel? And how about 980?

Tune in to 124, and they'll give you the channels for the Skins and Bills local broadcasts.
Generally, I think they use 123 and 127. But just tune in to 124 about 10 minutes before game time.

I've heard talk about and I hope they do offer packages. I don't need or want all the channels they offer. I'll take all sports and some music channels. No talk unless they ever sign John Boy and Billy.

I gotta reply here...
I love football, but who LISTENS to football? If you're a real fan, most times your can will be parked in front of a TV watching it. Baseball is a different story. It's on almost every day and can be described eloquently on the radio, something I've found difficult with football.
I've had XM for three years now and love it. Besides baseball, great music channels and Fox Sports Radio. I don't know anything about Sirius, but I'll be glad when they merge and we get the best of both worlds....that is if the XM music channels don't change.

I can agree with that.
Very rarely do I listen to the games though. The thing I really like is the coverage of the NFL and NASCAR through the week.
Both sports have dedicated channels with round-the-clock in depth coverage. Sirius NFL is in the midst of a 32-team training camp tour right now, which has been FANTASTIC. One entire morning/early afternoon was dedicated to 100% Skins coverage from Ashburn.
I can honestly say that I already know more about what to expect this NFL season than I ever have before because of Sirius. And NASCAR too. Like I said, it's not so much the event coverage (though that's nice too) but it's the reporting through the week that makes it so great.

Link to Redskins Preseason broadcasts on Sirius.
They are on "122- Away" and "123 - Home" this week against the Bills

I prefer to watch it, but sometimes I can't. When I have to be on the road on Sundays, I need Sirius to keep up with the Redskins and/or the NASCAR race. If I can hear it, I can visualize it.

Yep, this is how I feel and exactly why I got XM. I am either at the Skins games or watching them, so I would never be listening to them on the radio. Although the NFL channel's other programing is pretty solid too.
I love baseball as well and there is almost always a game on somewhere every day of the week. Plus XM's coverage of college sports is much better in my opinion.

That is true. Big Ten, ACC, SEC football and basketball.
edit: Pac-10 and Big East too.

I'm bumping this instead of starting a new thread. i want to get satellite radio for my 08 Tacoma but I know NOTHING about satellite radio. Some one want to give me some gouge? I usually listen to 106.7 and some country station down here in southern maryland. But being able to actually pick those stations up is hit or miss. i don't need to be able to listen to the skins GAME on the radio but liek hearing the chatter about them every other day of the week. Who has some recommendations for me? Also, what "unit" do people recommend? i don't know what I need so I don't know what to look for. Thanks.

SiriusXM has NFL Network, which will give you all sorts of chatter about the NFL in general. You also get ESPN feeds as well.
As for what to get, any Sirius radio should work for you. I think the NFL Network and games are still one of the few exclusives left on Sirius radios.

Definitely get Sirius if you want the NFL stuff. Plus there are two channels, 125/126 I think, that have NFL games on during the season.

Sounds like I should go with Sirius but I just want to make sure. I noticed you said SiriusXM. Do i need to get Sirius with the "Best of XM"? I just plain Sirius? And having satellite radio won't help me get stuff like 106.7?

If you get Sirius you can get the best of XM and vice versa. Nope satellite won't help get other local stations.
