Do I have to really ask this one?

I really only see 4 contenders and 3 of the are in the AFC and only one NFC team could contend for the best record.

My homer goggles make things more beautiful than my beer goggles.

My answer.... THE WASHINGTON REDSKINS

That's my list... Add New Orleans, the Giants, and the Packers to the mix for best in the NFC....

the Patriots will go 15-1. They have the easiest schedule in the NFL.

Nope.

I don't think they beat 11-5 this year.

Nope.

I don't think they beat 11-5 this year.I agree. I think NFCE is going to be even tougher than it was last year.

I see the Chargers getting the best record in the NFL. With Brandon Marshall's legal issues, the AFCW is a complete joke of a division.

An AFC team will get the record. The NFCE teams will beat each up as others have said.
NE is a tougher call this year for best record because their secondary is average at best. However, they will win the division and win a lot of games.
SD is probably a good bet.
The Giants will win about the same as they do every year. Their magical run will not hide the same problems they have every year.
The pukes are a tough call. I just don't see them winning 13 games again this year. Unfortunately, they will win some games. The skins will split with them this year and will take teams like the Giants to beat them at least once to knock their record down.
The Birds will win some and lose some. Difficult to see how many games above .500 they will be.
I feel more confident about the skins this year then in many years previous. Time will tell.

Norv with expectations is a disaster.

I think New Orleans could surprise people and be very good. I am not sure about Peyton Manning's health yet. The Cowboys obviously appear to be the top team in the NFC as of now. New England lost some guys. And of course some team will break loose and step up that nobody thought would

Why not the Washington Redskins?

According to the strength of schedule chart for 2008, the two teams that will have the best record (one per each conference) will be NE and NO.

That and $5.00 will get you a small coffee at Starschmucks.

Why not the Washington Redskins?

With the best record in the NFL ? No. Only for the fact that they reside in the NFLE, and no, the Cowboys will not have the best record either.

I say either the Chargers or New England. Leaning toward the Chargers.

I don't see any team in the NFC East having the best regular season record. Too much competition.

unfortunately, going against history, the pats will do good again and make it to the postseason

i forgot since whatever year, but other than the seahawks, lately the team that loses the SB doesnt make it to postseason the nxt yr..

How is that possible? They won their conference last year, so by all rights they should have one of the toughest scheds in the league.

6 of their 16 games are against the AFC East, which went 12-36 last year.

The AFC East also rotates and plays the NFC West this year against such powerhouse teams as the Cardinals 9ers and the Rams.

Thats 9 or 10 wins depending if they can beat Seattle @ Seattle.

They also play the Chiefs and the Raiders. That's possibly 11 or 12 wins there.

Only 2 games per season are determined by how a team finished. The rest are set years in advance.
