BigMac PMed me, but his PM box is not accepting messages, so I thought I'd get this to him via a TD Club thread. This is not an ad, but it does provide general info re TD club tix:

Hey Mac,

TD club is around $18,000 for two tickets, but include lots of amenities such as free travel and hotel with the team to an away game, field passes, and TD club passes to free meals and drinks, etc. It could be $20,000, I'm not exactly sure. The tix alone are not worth $2,000 or anything close. Also, beware of cheats.

ES member goskinsgo2007 might be able to give you better info on TD club.

Hope this helps.

Mark,
I remember seeing a post you had related to all tickets a short time ago. I tried a search but couldn't seem to locate it.

The reason I was looking for it was because I found a guy on craigslist selling his touchdown club seats for "under face value" for single games on the 50 yard line lower level. When I sent him an e-mail to inquire he responded that face value for two tickets to each game is $2000.00 and he would take $1800.

I politely declined and was looking back for the thread you had in reference to all tickets. Not that it matters because it is wayyyy out of my league but inquiring minds want to know, is this price correct from the redskins??

As always thanks for the great information and advice you provide to the board.

-Mac

We had TD Club passes for the Jaguars via a friend. I feel that the benefit to the TD Club is the field passes and the away game travel. Prime lower level seating is OK but with Tailgate Club you can get close at section 119.

This year they tried to group all the TD Club seats at the top of sections 121 and 122...you can see the dark padded seats there...this is a change from previous years as TD Club members were scattered about in these sections.

The Hall of Fame tent food is only slightly better than Tailgate Club....I was expecting better food. They do have a turkey carving station, more desserts and cheese cubes though. They also have an open bar which can be a big benefit for drinkers.

The cheerleaders also come up to you and engage you rather than you going to the tent as in the Tailgate Club. The alumni, Jeff Bostic for the Jags game, also mingle rather than stay fixed behind a tent table.

I was in TD club last year but left for this year. Yes, if you take the total cost for 2 (roughly $20k) and divide by 10 games then indeed the "per game" cost comes to $2000. That's not really a good number to charge for one game (even if it includes parking, field passes and seats) since the away game trip is included in the dollar figure. In your case I think the price only included seats and no field passes which makes it a TOTAL rip off.

The seats themselves aren't any different (except some are padded), so besides being in a decent location, I wouldn't pay any more for "Touchdown Club" seats than anything else you can find in that section.

I totally agree with the previous posting about the food. There are some differences but not that much although last year, alcohol was included for free in TD Club.

so how does the field access work for the TD club, and is it worth the price?

Do you get to stand on the sidelines for the entire warmup, or is it like a quick guided visit?

You have access to the perimeter of the field during warmups. There are no guides and you can pretty much go anywhere you want outside of the yellow lines painted on the grass. You have to leave the field roughly 30 minutes before kickoff.

I had always assumed that TD club patrons were allowed to take their unlimited free alcohol to their seats. A big selling point for the TD club, right?

I noticed on Sunday that there's a big sign at the TD Club gate saying no alchohol on the concourse. Security won't let you walk out of the TD club tent area w/ a beer.

I'm sure I'd find a way to pocket a bottle or two if I were in there, but c'mon. That's a total joke when you're paying 18 grand a year for season tickets.

No alcohol on the concourse - that makes perfect sense. Only Mr. Snyder would come up with that one. All the alcohol you can drink - as long as you do it in this small tent away from the game.

Especially when you consider you can buy liquor drinks at the EZ bar and bring THOSE to your seat. What's the big deal? The only thing I can think of is, they don't want TD Club people bring liquor drinks to their non-TD club buddies in the bowl. Seems to me they could do something different though, like allow one drink per TD Club Member when entering the bowl. For 18 grand or 20 grand or whatever the hell it is, I'd be remembering this policy when it's TD Club ticket renewal time.
