I'm sure this has been posted on here before, but with the search function not working,

Like clockwork :D

Something about these maps is very addicting. Here, the game I want to see will always be on no matter what and yet I'm still drawn to these maps.

Where's mah Saints suck smiley at?

I can still see the Skins-Saints game here, it just means I have to go to the Buffalo Wild Wings all NFL fans go to on Sundays. That place is a great atmosphere. It was rockin a couple days ago. Steeler fans infest that place every week. I even saw a couple Skins fans there. ;) Maybe that was a couple people from ES?

it appears the skins are blacked out in the baltimore area, i hope for gods sake that i am mistaken. i mean the ravens play at 4 on cbs, why wouldnt the skins be on at 1 on fox?

this is my first weekend in baltimore where the skins aren't nationally broadcoast. if anyone could help me out with this, many thanks.

the map you just posted...with the map zoomed out it look like it covers baltimore, but if you zoom in the coverage stops in the surrodning counties around baltimore. Also, my uncle whom i live with says the games are sometimes blacked out.

ah ok, I never thought to zoom in. haha

you might just keep checking on it to see if it changes in the next few days. There are usually changes in some areas during the week.

For what reason does the NFL feel the Philadelphia area needs to get to see the Rams for two straight weeks? Are they trying to lose viewers in making it the feature game in a lot of places? Sure, they are playing the Giants, but it doesn't make any sense to me. The Skins are just as hated/close, and it will probably be a better game. Oh well, off to the Turf Club.

I wish the NFL would stop with the damn Baltimore Ravens being broadcast into the DC area. We don't care about them. I was hoping that last week was a sign of them waking up to this fact when they broadcast the Jets/Dolphins game instead of the Ravens/Bengals.

But here we are in week two and instead of getting the best matchup of the late games (Denver/San Diego) or even two more interesting matchups (Bradyless Patriots/Jets) (Are they for real Cardinals/Dolphins) we get the worse matchup (Ravens/Texans).

Man the Redskins better win this weekend so I'm in a good mood at 4pm. I am not looking forward to be stewing after another Redskins defeat and being only able to watch the Ravens/Texans game.

I'd hate to have that game on here too...but it would be because of the Texans. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/lol.gif luckily, we get Pats-Jets here. Nobody cares about the Texans outside of Houston. Actually, most of Houston doesn't care about the Texans. http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/lol.gif

It's not the NFL. It's WUSA's mistaken belief that Washingtonians give a rat's tuchas about Baltimore sports teams, or Baltimore in general, for that matter.

idk if there are any people in Memphis here, but there has been a change there for this week. Memphis switched from Giants-Rams to Skins-Saints. Although for some reason, the color code hasn't changed.

updates are always listed at the bottom throughout the week. :)

It really pisses me off that they try to shove the ravens down my throat here in the bury...I've lived here my whole life and we had the skins WAY before the ravens...I actually had someone from comcast tell me I was supposed to be a ratbirds fan when I complained about tem blacking out the skins game against the jets....

Nice. I wish East Tennessee would switch to the game. I mean, do more people really care about the Giants/Rams game down here? There's gotta be far more Redskins fans, and definitely more Saints fans here than Giants or Rams. Oh well, I got bars lined up.

No its not, that's why (as much as i like the 506 site) i really don't pay them much mind because its not always accurate. According to the the baltimore sun, directv, and baltimore fox 45.. (They will be showing the game)!

The baltimore radio stations are trying to bill the skins-ravens game as this huge rivalry. Thats why they are trying to push baltimore on washington fans. And I think its a mistake to say washingtonians dont care about baltimore sports. I have been an orioles fan since i was a kid for the same reason I am a skins fan, they were here first! (And yes I know the senators were here before that but not during my life!)

Wow, it sucks to be the national feed this week. Based on last week, Chicago @ Carolina looks to be the better game. Also, only two games this week? It looks like CBS is blacked out for the early game for some reason, leaving just the local games.

there have been SEVERAL other changes. Giants-Rams is being taken off the map quite a bit, as it should be. Excellent. :applause:

the thread and first post in the thread has been updated for week 3.

the one thing that confuses me is why CBS has two games again this week. I thought it was supposed to rotate every week like past seasons. It's Fox's turn to have two games this week!

DC gets Eagles-Steelers in the late CBS game rather than Ravens-Browns, so I'm sure y'all will be happy about that.

Steelers and Eagles is the much better game than Ravens-Bengals, and I'm so glad that DC is getting the former rather than the later.

But, looking at that map, wow. The Ravens-Bengals game broadcast locations look so small without the DC area. It's just that small eastern part of Maryland and Ohio among large amounts of red and blue. Like... like... it's so lonely or something.

Looks like I'll be watching on the internet again. Is there anyway to check future games, like the Philly and dallas games on this map?

do you mean the dallas and philly games for this week, or do you mean future weeks?

ah ok...no, you can only see up to the next week. The page puts up that week's map every Tuesday. :)

I don't think you can know ahead of time brandy since a lot of stations that are not contractually obligated as home channels can opt in n out to change the games they broadcast, so even they don't know what they will be showing.

That's just one more reason for me to root for the team, the better they do the better my chances of seeing them.

Dang it. I guess I'll have to go to the Panther website and compare their gametimes w/ the Skins'. Here in NC I only get to see the Skins on tv if the Panthers aren't playing.

It looks like the Ravens are finally getting the coverage they deserve for their 4:00 game with the Browns - Cleveland and Baltimore markets only. D.C. gets the Eagles - Steelers. :applause:

A little help please. I am in Delaware (we get the Philly Fox station - arrgh!) The map shows the Skins for the early game but it shows the Giants if you click on the single game. Can anybody clarify for me - thanks.

Hey Delaware! Looks like the Giants are on CBS early, Skins on FOX, so we should be covered (for a change)

Is anyone else in the DC area pissed about getting blacked out for the CBS double header for the second straight week?

BigMike21
September-17th-2008, 12:54 PM
it appears the skins are blacked out in the baltimore area, i hope for gods sake that i am mistaken. i mean the ravens play at 4 on cbs, why wouldnt the skins be on at 1 on fox?

this is my first weekend in baltimore where the skins aren't nationally broadcoast. if anyone could help me out with this, many thanks.

I don't know but Week 1 the Washington area got Jets/Fins instead of Ravens/Bungles

I don't know if anyone here is in Tulsa, or anywhere in northeast OK, but if you are, you have unfortunately been changed from Skins-Cards to Panthers-Vikings.

other changes have been made too, but this is the only one involving the Skins game.

You can edit the location and put in date and time.

This way you will know for sure if the game is in your area.

Great maps! I saved your site for future use.
One question though. I live in San Diego and the map says I'll get the game, but there's also a Chargers game at the same time on CBS. Can Fox show a game if it conflicts with the home market game?

it only affects those in the market of the home team. The Chargers are playing on the road, so you're fine.

the two CBS games at that time are: Buffalo @ St. Louis and San Diego @ Oakland. That's why it's the St. Louis and San Fran./Oakland areas that are blacked out. :)

Ok, we can't be buddies this week. You know that. But I will <shudder> go ahead and.............say...............thx for the map. It's pretty much what I expected. How can this matchup not be the marquee game across the NFL next week?

part of the reason is that there are only three games in that time slot on Sunday, and two of them are on CBS. But even if the game were earlier, with several other games on Fox, it would likely still be shown in 75% of the country.

KillaCam21

its the only fox game at 4 ET, and fox has the doubleheader this week, so they're forced to show it. There arent any other options.

yeah, I had thought about it, but figured the mods wouldn't like it, or just merge them eventually anyway. Sorry if it caused confusion.

what I could always do is link the last post in the thread from the previous week in the first post.

edit: I guess you can't really link a single post without it just taking you to a window with that one post (instead of in the thread), so maybe I can just say what page it was on or what post # was last.

Now I know why people say Cowboys fans are not very smart.

No you can start a new thread for each week as it now a new week with a different map showing different teams. The mods shouldn't have a problem with this.
