View Full Version : Why No Gatorade Bath for Zorn?

What a great FIRST win for Zorn! I was a little surprised that he didn't get the "traditional" G-bath. I kept thinking that it was going to come especially after the last int.

That lockeroom must have been going crazy... wonder who received game balls?

week 2 win against a non divisional team is not a reason for a bath...

If it had been against the Cowpies ... maybe it would have been warranted. :cardsuck:

That would be embarrasing if he got a Gatorade bath against the Saints. Besides I'm sure they drank all the Gatorade considering how hot it was yesterday.

It was so hot all of the gatorade was prob gone

Obviously this means that Zorn has already lost the team and they have zero respect for him. Someone had better alert JLC.

Didn't this ritual used to be reserved for Super Bowl wins?

The Ravens gave Harbaugh the bath for his first win.

I, for one, would have loved to see that. It would show Zorn that the team is behind him.

Oh well.

I wish it went back to that tradition. It's kinda lost it's luster over the years.

the ravens did it to Harbaugh and i was embarrased just watching...really glad it didnt happen for a non-division win in week 2

I don't know. The whole gatorade bath ritual has been played out, IMO. Although, I thought it was hilarious when CP poured a cup of ice down Gibbs' back after last year's Dallas game.

They need to give him a gatorade bath in wk#2 to prove that they're behind him? That's pathetic.

I agree Zorn shouldn't get the gatoraid bath until he wins either the division or the super bowl

Well, technically, it would prove that they were behind him since if they tried to do it from in front of him he would see them coming and move out of the way. ;)

I think it would have been a nice idea. It was Zorn's first win. Doesn't matter who it was against. Plus, it was hot...Zorn would have enjoyed it.

That's a "tradition" that should have stayed up in NY.

We'll save the Gatorade bath for either a Super Bowl or a Cowboy win.

There is no reason for a Gatorade bath unless its a playoff win or something along those lines. Save the superbowl celebrations for moments that warrant them.

Bingo! But since it was a week-2 game against a non-division opponent maybe they could have just squirted it through their teeth at him? ;)

Given what Snyder charges for Gatorade at FedEx, a Zorn bath would have cost 46 thousand dollars.

dude...its our first win of the year...

don't get me wrong the game was great, but as far as a bath?

that would have just made the team look dumb

ttr77
September-15th-2008, 02:46 PM
Maybe they should have carried him off the field on their shoulders at halftime since they had already put up 9 points.

BigMike21
September-15th-2008, 02:59 PM
It has to be more than just a Cowboys game in week 2, it has to have a crazy ending. That's why Gibbs got it in Dallas in 2005.

You better watch it...with an attitude like that you may never again be let into Zorn Stadium to watch this team play.

No, it was started by the Giants :puke: and they did it to Parcell's every game they won that year.

Yea lol that was, there was no need for the bath bc it was pouring and he was sick, with like a colt at the time, hillarious.

The difference is that Coach Gibbs was an old man and it was freezing cold that day.

Winning one game is only an accomplishment if you're the 07 Phins (Or 08 Rams).
