I know there was already a thread started on this but I had no luck finding it.
Could anyone tell me where the cash lot is, how much it is, what time it opens, and if its worth it if you don't have a parking pass. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

If you are asking about the private tailgate lot, it is off of brightseat, costs $25, and open 4 hours before kickoff just like the colored lots.

Damn right you can. We showed up last week about 8:30, were just pulling down the chains. Parked right up next to Brightseat Rd. (that's where the porta johns are btw), and everybody was Tailgating. Good times man, good times.
We came in thru some back way thru a housing development. You can probably see it on Google maps. Or there was a huge map that someone posted of all the lots in the NO tailgate thread where you could see it.
...Wait I found it...

BTW... We weren't near Brightseat Rd., It's the road coming down from the top towards the stadium that we parked closest to (top right hand quadrant of the red circle).

I was there last week so I can vouch for this lot. Got there about 10:45 and there was still plenty of parking. Lots of tailgating going on and they have porta potties. About a 15-20 min walk to the stadium. Beats the heck out parking in the "official" cash lots. Only down side is you have to leave an hour after the game ends. So no post-game cooking. It was easier getting on the interstate from that lot than the stadium lots too.
Take 202 W toward Bladenburg and stay in your left lane. Then 2nd left on Barlowe Road and the first left into the lot. There's a big sign when you take the left on Barlowe and flaggers to direct you into the lot.
Have fun at the game! You won't be melting like I did last week.

That hill is steep with vengeance. Anyone with alcohol in their system should walk around... anyone with LOTS of alcohol should proceed...with friends videotaping.

How long of a walk is it from the cash lot to E-43?

Not long at all, 10-15 minutes max (if you walk all the way around). A little shorter if you dare tempt the dreaded hill.

The hill is on the corner of brightseat rd. and ?redskins rd?, it's not to bad when it's dry but it has taken many a fans for a mudslide when raining.

That's a good map on page 1, but the entrance to the lot is just off the edge of the map at the top.

The tailgate lot is the best ............ if you don't have green.
For all those talking **** about "The Hill" ... I was one of you. Last year, inebriated as hell, I lost my battle -- do NOT underestimate the power of the hillhttp://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c3/53bostic53/ChrissyBirthdaySkinsEagles034.jpg:

I will definitely park there. I just went to Google Maps and zoomed in on 495 in that area. You can zoom in very close and even see the colors of the cars there. I doesn't look hard to find at all.

sweet pants and shoes.
Same thing happened to me last year when I tried to drunkenly cross the little creek and climb the hill rather than walk the rest of the way.
On another note, how can we petition to get them to leave the tailgate lot open for more than an hour after the game?
It takes almost an hour just to walk and get past the crowd to get back to the lot. Id like to be able to light up the grill again after the game and not have to rush out of there.

what happens if you cant make it back to the lot by the time they close it? bust through the chains with your fender?

The best way to get to the lot is from the west (Route 50 or BW Parkway). Go east on 202, bottom of a hill turn right at the last light before Redskins Lane. After turning right, you'll see someone on the left hand side of the road waving a flag directing you to turn. The lot is privately owned.

At the bottom of the hill on 202. If the stadium is to your left, you pass the entrance ans turn left at the bottom of the hill. If you're coming from the other way, like 295, you'll turn right before you reach the stadium. There's a gold and burgundy sign that just says "Tailgate Lot" and prob a flagger.
(There was a SMOKIN hot Russian lady taking the money last year. I hope she's still there when I go next...:notworthy)

So the lot closes early? I never knew that. So you can't do a post game tailgate in that lot? I guess there's not much need to if you can get out right away.

After the game last week, we came back, BBQ'd some burgers, drank some more beer, and slowly packed everything up, I don't know the exact time, but theres no way we left that lot before 6:00 - 6:30.

Again, I'm not too worried about the hill. I don't consume alcohol, but disaster does tend to follow me - so stay tuned. :D

Pretty sure that it doesn't close early. I know of a couple of friends who have tailgated until well into the evening a couple of times.

I'm really sorry to start a new thread, but with SEARCH disabled, I couldn't find this mentioned anywhere else.
Just found out I'm going to the game tomorrow, and now need to figure out the best way to get there. The only other games I've been to, I've had a parking pass for one of the lots. This time around, I've got nothing.
I live in Howard County. I could drive to Silver Spring Metro, take Metro to Landover, then walk to the stadium. It's apparently about a mile, which is no big deal. But the Metro ride is kinda crazy - going all the way into DC, transferring to Blue, then back out to Landover.
Would it be better to drive to Landover and park in one of the satellite lots? If anybody has any recommendations, I'd appreciate it.
Again, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong spot.

You can park at tailgate field for 25 or park at one of the office buildings and then they transport you to the game by bus

Yeah, but there's another private cash lot being run by an small auto dealer at the corner there at Landover Rd. It holds about 200 cars. It's $25.

that sucks so much this lot is closed. it was big, wide open, a short walk to the stadium, and you even got to challenge "the hill" which was always entertaining after tailgating.
did this get closed or just converted into that "fan zone" lot?

Wow, I guess that makes me also behind on the times. Given the demise of the other cash lots, for those of us without parking passes are there any other option available (besides metro). I am an out of town season ticket holder that can only make about 5-6 games a year, so I haven't felt the need to get a parking pass.

You have to get there a little early (2 hours before game time), but the houses on Sheriff Road just west of Brightseat offer parking in their driveways for $25. It is a little further to walk but easy-out after the games. I parked there several times last year.
