1- Are you freaking kidding me? Not even Accuscore or the Madden Game Simulation gave us a chance in this one. We marched in there and won in all facets of the game. The average football fan may see it as a "close game", but I thought this game was far from close. We controlled this game from the opening snap.
2- Springs was absolutely sensational today. For years we have all complained about this guy not earning his big $9mil paycheck, but the guy was just outstanding today. He shut down TO big time! And when he went out, Carlos played amazing on him as well. These guys were in his face all game long and knocking passes out of his hands. TO was certainly frustrated...
3- Campbell has just amazed me. Every indication leads to the fact that Jason Campbell is our franchise quarterback. The guy made play after play after play! Even when he's pressured, he now finds a way to make a play.
4- I honestly went into this game thinking CP wasnt going to do much. Dont get me wrong, I love CP, but we dont seem to run too well when going to Dallas. He proved me wrong. The dude lit it up on the field and gave us some big first downs.
5- Santana is back to his 2005 form. Im very happy I started him in my fantasy league today (Calvin Johnson, Randy Moss, and Plaxico are my other receivers), and I think this guy just has magic written all over him. He's found ways to get open short and deep. Simply amazing...
6- The playcalling was perfect today. We were aggressive when we needed to be, and conservative when we needed to be. We kept a well-balanced game with great runs and great passes. Just listen to how the Dallas fans are complaining about their unbalanced playcalling. Great job by the Zorn man and the rest of the coaches!
7- Special teams. Hands down the best game they've had all year. Suisham was 4 for 4 today, Brooks had a great day of punting, and our kick off coverage was sensational. They couldnt even make it to our 20!
But anyway, these are just some of my thoughts. I know its a long post, but I just thought we played alot better today than some people will say. Just a great all around game and Im super proud of our team. I truly believe we can beat anyone this year and a Super Bowl is quite possible if we stay away from injuries and continue to play our cards right.
