To be honest i thought if we were going to win in dallas we were going to have a couple balls bounce our way. we were going to need some luck. and we were going to have to, well quite frankly completely luck into a victory. I was completely surprised when i looked at the postgame stats and saw that we actually could of and should of won by more. Does this surprise anybody?

When it comes to a Redskins Cowboys game, nothing surprises me.

No, I knew we were better than anyone gave us credit for.

I am not surprised the Redskins outplayed the Cowboys.
What I am surprised about is the Redskins came into to Dallas fully expecting to win and playing to win.
The Time of Pasession was fantastic. 38 minutes for Redskins 22 for Cowboys. This is ALWAYS a key stat.
Dallas certainly did not play their best game. However, I didn't think they needed to.

We didn't just outplay them...we :owned: them in every aspect of the game.
The score doesn't indicate how well we played and how much we outplayed them by. Sooner or later those penalties that hold back a score or two aren't going to be happening and we are really going to kick the **** out of some teams.

I was as nervous as I am against any team, but I honestly believed in our team. I kept telling myself our defense has kept three high powered offenses under 20 points, and just how impressive that really is. Our offense has looked very good, keeping opposing defenses guessing and on their heels. I'm not lying when I say I felt we could really dominate. Yes, dominate. But I also won't lie and tell you I had no doubts... I was afraid we may just go and lay an egg because so many times in the past we'd do just that after playing well.
Finally, God is in control and does as He wills. Like they say, any given Sunday. I'll always go into the game believing we can win.

I'm not surprised. I didn't know if we'd win, but I knew the game was winnable.
They didn't blow out Philly. They didn't blow out Green Bay. They played an awful Cleveland team, which padded their stats to start the season.
They are a very talented team, but they are clearly very beatable. They only have two legit receiving options. If you have a good secondary, you can throw your #1 at T.O. with safety help over the top (Green Bay showed you can do that as well), and then deal with everyone else. Their running backs aren't serious pass catching threats, which makes things a lot easier in the passing game.
And for whatever reason, Marion the Librarian never plays well against the Redskins.
On defense, you can clearly see that their secondary isn't exactly all world.

I'm still just in amazement. I honestly didn't expect to outplay them like we did. I thought we would keep it close but not control the game. Very proud of our guys this morning.

No doubt, the best thing about this win was that it WASN'T an "any given Sunday" kind of victory.
In 1995, when Heath Shuler went in there and won, THAT was Any Given Sunday.
But there was no fluke yesterday. We outplayed and outcoached them, with a big stress to the latter.
It is the Cowboys achilles heel (coaching) and it doomed them in the playoffs last year and Zorn showed what a well-prepared, motivated team can do to them.
Matt Mosely on ESPN said it pretty well...that game did not have a "fluke" feel to it at all.

The Redskins won a Road division game. That is huge for any team in any division. The Redskins have the opportunity to sweep the Cowboys.
I am one of the naysayers on this board.
I had them at 1-4 after their first 5 games.
I had them benching Campbell for Brennan in week 6.
I had them finishing the season at 5-11.
Hwever, I never bad-mouthed Zorn. I was worried that Danny would pull the plug on Zorn after a few bad seasons.
Congrtatulations to the Redskins for a great job.
Please...Don't let your guard down.
You guys have the opportunity to win another Road Division game against the Eagles.
Unfortunately, the Redskins are no longer flying under the rader.

:dallasuck I had this gut feeling that we would win and I knew we were getting better but I had no idea we were that good.
I look forward to an improved game this Sunday up in Philthy. The momentum doesn't end in dallASS...
Hail to the Redskins! Hail Victory!

So i was wondering, given the last two times we've played, in virtually EVERY facet bar the final yesterday, we've TOTALLY OWNED their lame ass's, do we get to keep Dallas if we make it 3 in a row come FeEx?
Hail.

Yes. I know Dallas is a good team, and I really was just hoping the redskins played a good game. They played a GREAT game and came away with a W in Dallass.

By Nov. 16, TO will have single handily taken down the dallASS cowBOYS. Factor in that we ARE a better team than dallASS and I look forward to at least a 10 point victory margin in our favor. :dallasuck

Hate to break it to you, but it appears we are STILL under the radar. All the mediots on ESPN can talk about is how upset TO was after the game...not how well the skins played. They're talking about how the cowboys abandoned the run, not how the skins forced them to go to the air.
Unfortunately, it's going to continue, cuz if the skins win next week at Philthy they're all going to say it was a hangover from their loss to Chicago last night, not because the Skins are the better team.

Absolutely, If it was close and we lost I would of been satisfied. In my heart I wanted us to win, But I got caught up myself in that Cowboy hype, I never will doubt our team again they showed some confidence I been hoping to see for years. Apparently Cowboys fans thought less too, I didn't need the 8 pts they spotted me :) time to collect.

I knew Romo would give us a turnover(i actually expected more than one) and I knew that there little training camp was called camp cupcake.
I figured if we kept it close we would win in the 4th quarter because we are a tougher team

No IMO I think Dallas is a far far more luckier team than most in the NFL...yes they usually play great but I always thought they kind of lacked intensity except for Marion Barber and their LBs...the Skins came out intense and the Cowboys could never match it...they're a finesse team and when the game got physical it showed....the Skins dominated because of the physicality and mental toughness that Gibbs instilled the past four years and Zorn brings a new aggressiveness and confidence

I think ESPN is going to be upset when they find out that Fieldy has become privy to their talking points for the next two weeks.

I still haven't caught up with this yet. In my mind, I'm still used to the 'old' Redskins that would go into these games not fired up at all and letting the Cowboys run over us.
I thought we'd play well and keep up with them, but I wasn't prepared for the dominating show that they put on. Very happy to see it though because it's a game like this, in my opinion, that shows the team is growing.

That's true about the media.
However, the Redskins are no longer being overlooked by their competition. The Eagles will certainly not take them lightly. The Eagles are 2-2. The Eagles will NOT lose this game.
The Eagles are 2-2. Losing to Cowboys and Bears on the road. Eagles are the first team in the NFC East to lose a game outside their division.

It didn't surprise me after watching that game...we flat out outplayed them! Did I expect us to play that well? I was hoping...but you do have the other team to contend with...unlike the folks in "big D", we didn't dismiss the team we were facing. We came out and did exactly what was necessary and it paid off. They got rattled and desperate....Barber was contained...TO was practically non-existant...Romo had a 300yd day...but for the most part....we just limited their "high scoring" offense....I was proud of the way we carried ourselves throughout the game...I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of that game and can't wait until I get in the presence of the puke fans at my job! We should have earned alot of respect yesterday...but you can bet...the "experts" are going to be slow giving it to us!

I was surprised. I thought the combination of their defensive line and Barber/Jones were going to eventually wear down our guys too much in the end. I was dead wrong.
This damn Redskins team and Jim Zorn are for real ; I am just thrilled and thoroughly impressed with both of them...

Fine.
Let them continue to ignore us. I love flying under the radar. I hope we are favored to lose when the Steelers come to town.
Makes the winning that much more sweeter. :helmet:

I agree with you on what the Eagles will think. The media not paying attention to us and the skins flying under the radar will hopefully give them a chip on their shoulder. Not like Pats last year...all that was uncalled for...but enough to make them play that much harder every game.
Sidebar - listening to Cowturd online and he is finally willing to admit that the Skins are not only a part of the NFC Beast, but are just as good as the turds, vagiants and smeagles.
And apparently when you play a funeral march backwards it sounds like hail to the redskins.
HAIL!!!
