Well, OK. One thing I notice is that the world is so shiny and bright. But besides that.

I started thinking about next week. Sizing things up.

Saw something in my morning paper that kind of stuck out to me.

We're the #2 team, in the toughest division in the NFL.

We're playing the #4 team. The only team in our division that doesn't have a winning record. The only team in our division who's lost against the rest of the NFL. The only team in our division that doesn't have a win in our division.

We're coming off of dominating what virtually every expert says is the best team in the NFL. In their house. Weve won our last 3 in a row.

They're coming off of losing (a close one) to a team that was 1-2.

Line: Philly by 6.

If we can beat Dallas, we can destroy Filthy.

So much for the group of people who say that the 'skins will get respect after they start winning games...

Lines, expert picks, power rankings....does any of it matter when they put the helmets on at game time...

Lets hope this team does not get over confident. Philly is still a damn good team and a divsion rival. We are coming off a huge emotional game. No need to look past philly because they will give us everything they got.

I think philly has the best defense in the division. Their pass rush is scary good.

Philthy losing to the Bears last night makes it that much tougher going in there on Sunday.
The Redskins need to keep their poise and just keep executing. I look forward to another victory in the tough NFC East.
Hail to the Redskins! Hail Victory!

The Bears got pretty good pressure on McNabb and forced him to throw quickly. We had no pressure on Romo yesterday. We definately need to get pressure on McNabb this game. Although our offense is much better than the Bears, so this next week should be an interesting game.

Lines are creating for gambling purposes, people still can't seem to grab this concept. Vegas is not saying Philly will win by 6. What they are saying is that based on the early betting movements Vegas has to give the Skins 6 points to get more people to bet on them to try and make the betting population close to even between bettors for both teams.

Larry-

This is hardly surprising. Philly "almost pulled that out", and they are considered better that we are by most "experts". It's on their home turf, "they will be pissed off at their loss" and "making a concerted effort to get the win to allow them back into the playoff picture".

"The Redskins secondary is injured, and outgunned, they generate little quarterback pressure, and McNabb always performs well against the Redskins at home."

"Finally, we don't believe that Jason Campbell is the real deal, and the kid should be making some boneheaded decisions soon (to justify our continued skepticism and anti-Redskins propanda."

Personally at this point, I think if we come prepared, the only team that can stop the Redskins is -- the Redskins.

I firmly hope that the team (again) has the eye of the tiger this week and gets their work done right in Philly. :eaglesuck

Just keep up the good coaching and we win. Thumbs up for our coaching staff for game prep and double thumbs up for the players executing.

The Washington Redskins just need to continue what they are doing. Take it one game at a time, execute, improve, and keep consistent. :eaglesuck

Oh, I don't think we should start making plans for 15-1 this year.

OTOH, if we can play like we did yesterday. . .

IMO, the Eagle's best running threat is Westbrook. And we shut down a better RB, yesterday.

And, IMO, the Eagles best receiving threat, is Westbrook. And we shut down a better WR, yesterday.

Philly will be coming in just like we went into Dallas. Every team starts a game feeling they can win. Beating Dallas was fantastic, although i wish one of the called back TD's stood, just to make us look even better. But Philly always play hard. We just need to focus on playing smart. So far so good. Every week we should improve, and get more plays into our arsenal to keep other teams on their heels. 4-1 would be great :)

Zorn will keep our guys level and humble. I don't think he'll let their heads get too big. Listening to the post-game interviews, everyone sounded focused on the Philly game.

And the world is shiny and bright this morning. :)

I really don't think Zorn and the player leadership on this team is going to take Philly lightly (AND THEY SHOULDN'T). This is going to be a really tough game for us. They just lost. They are at the bottom of the division and a home loss for them next week would really hurt them. They will be playing with everything they have. We have ANY overconfidence and we will be brought back to earth in a hurry. As for the spread, 3 points for the eagoles being at home. 1 point because they are in a quasi must win to keep pace with the division. The other two points reflect the fact that we have some matchup issues with them.

Good post Larry-

I say- let's ride this train of direspect all the way to the postseason. The national media can suck it. I'll be upset when they actually show us some respect. It just won't be the same anymore.

That's football buddy. It's home field and we haven't proven in a LOOONG time we could pull something like this off. I think it's reasonable.

Just remember that the E-girls are another one of our hated NFCE rivals, and that they can win against us on any given day. If the team and coaches prepare and execute this week as they did last week, we stand a good chance of winning at Philthy, but it will be a dogfight.

The Eagles have a great team and the best QB in the Division, if not the Conference.

They have had more success than us in recent years, so they get the favor at home.

No surprise here.
