View Full Version : Not afraid of Mcnabb, Cole, Dawkins or Westbrook

It's Jim Johnson that really scares me.
Of course I was afraid of what the Boy's 3-4 would do to Jason based on how he looked during the Jets preseason game. We all know how he did the boys.
Just got this off of wikipedia:
The Eagles defense knows only one way to play and that is to attack. From 2000-07, Johnson's units rank tied for first in the NFL with 342 sacks, second in the league in 3rd down efficiency (34.3%) and red zone touchdown percentage (43.0%), and fourth in fewest points allowed (17.6 per game).
So far we have given up 7 sacks, not bad, but our 3rd down hasn't been great, and god knows our red zone has been pretty brutal. Yes, I know we got screwed on Rabach's plays, but we still didn't score a TD.
I really do believe that if JC can pull out a good game against this D and this D coordinator, he will have with out a doubt "arrived." I mean, WITHOUT ANYYYYYYY DOUBT.
Eagles are leading the league in sacks this year, 1st in rushing yards allowed, and 3rd in total yards. SCARY.
Now, i did watch the game last night and I did see Kyle "My beard is gross" Orton throw three TD's on them. If he can do that, JC can do that.
I'm just real worried about Johnson, and the crazy, crazy blitzes he throws out. SUCH A BIG TEST FOR OUR LINE AND JC.

Well McNabb is better than Homo so we need to really put some heat on him. I would blitz the birds hard with Reed.

I think this will be a good barometer of the progress made since the Giants' game. Johnson will bring the house and zone-blitz like crazy to confuse Campbell. The Eagles' might be one of the toughest defenses to prepare for what with all their blitzing tomfoolery.
I'm expecting a couple of turnovers to break the streak and some poor decisions to go along with a couple of big plays.

I'm also a little concerned, but I have to give it up to Jason Campbell and that offense for adjusting early and quickly to the pressure the Cowboys were bringing.
As soon as they got those two earl sacks, Jason started getting rid of the ball quicker and allowed Moss to do his damage on the slants and short throws. The completely threw off that defense.
Not to mention our O Line is playing excellent.

I can't agree with this thread. It seems that Westbrook is usually a thorn in our side, and after their loss to the Bears while he sat on the sideline, I have to believe he'll be pumped. We just need to do the same thing again them and match their intensity.

We will have our hands full with that defense. I think they have possibly the best defense in the NFL the way they rush the passer. Our O-line just needs to hold up and give Campbell a little bit of time because there secondary besides Samuels looks like it can be beaten. Campbell will have to use his legs for this game. This game is in no way an easy W. We will have our hands full. That kid Jackson is an absolute monster he scares me. If Landry gets one big hit on him he might break him though.

The Eagles' backs are against the wall. They're .500 in a division full of heavyweights, and if they lose this game they'll find themselves 0-2 in the division, 2-3 overall. In the proverbial "division basement." They're at home and they're gonna fight tooth and nail to get this win. This is by NO means a gimme.
But the homer in me says we'll kick their asses 27-21.:D

Yeah, he does seem to do it to us pretty good.
I'm just worried that with all the hoopla (well deserved by the way) about JZ, the offense, his play calling, JC's maturity and cool/calm demeanor in the pocket, Jim johnson is freaking licking his chops and cooking up some crazy you know what.
It's gonna be a freaking brawl man.

"tomfoolery," too funny man. what movie does that remind you all of?
Anyways, I for sure see the turnover streak ending, don't mean we'll lose, hell I can JC focusing even harder after that.

I'm concerned with every name in this tread, especially Tom Foolery.
Contain Westbrook on offense and figure a way to run an effective offense even when using max protect.

I'm a little worry about our homeboy Westbrook, whom is an admitted Skins fan, So I got love for him, just not against us.....Anyway He always gives us fits, but I think We need to key him the same way we did R.Bush.......tho I think B. West is better than Bush......

I think this team will adjust. The offense is just plain scary and our defense can pressure MacNabb. Remember, when you pressure MacNabb he does what? Throws interceptions.
Remember, we are the worst of the NFC East and a lot of the mediots have or had dallASS and/or Philthy taking the division. It's Philthy's turn to find out what we are all about.
Hail to the Redskins! Hail Victory!

since i cant start a thread, ill post this in a thread here, that not much a read yet....
this is from a thread in thecowboyszone.com
Yesterday sucked. I mean it really sucked. I get the added pleasure of checking the new accounts for approval. The number of new accounts with obvious Redskins fans is nauseating because any time one of them is registering after the game the chances are higher that is an account created just to be a troll.
haah i made an account just to see what they had to say...not happy over there..
threads title such as should barber go back to being a closer.....
4 games still no ints for their defense. hahah
4 out of the last 5 losses to the east... 22-6 last 28 games 3 of them to the skins..
haha go over there and check it out. makes me so happy to see them cry.... cowboys suck.....

I don't think Philly is a 2-3 team and we're playing in their house. That thought scares me.

The Eagles are just very aggressive. To beat them you have to pass protect well and find guys open over the top. You can beat their D for big gains if you pick your spots,c all good plays, and dont get flustered. See the Dallas game, and even the Bears game to some extent.

I'm afraid of all of them.
If Campbell gets protection, we will succeed offensively. They've got a great trio of Corners, but if we work the ball to Cooley and Betts/Sellers/Portis/whoever is in the backfield, then it ought to open up passes for the WRs.
But if Campbell is rushed, we will fall.

Seems like this thread is about the eagles defense so I'll just predict that side of the ball...
The Skins will have to game plan for exotic 3-4 blitzes. The eagles will bring dawkins down in the box in some of those blitzes but as its been shown this year when they gamble they can be beat. The bears capitalized on some big plays down field yesterday, and expect those plays to be open for us as well. Basically if we play the eagles like we played the cowboys by attacking early through the air and controlling the line of scrimmage by running the ball then we will be in great shape to win.

];5610074']But if Campbell is rushed, we will fall.JC is getting rushed, bet your azz on that! But they wont get to him everytime, and that will haunt them for the rest of their lives.
They will never be able to get over this mentaly, many will flee to tennis, others to hollywood playing the roles of abused victims. Should win emmy's for their performance :D

I seem to remember Westbrook having some very good games against us.. You'd be stupid not to fear him.

Okay, I'm not sure I'm interpreting you correctly, but the offense scored two red zone TDs yesterdays. The long passes set them up but Moss didn't make the end zone either time.
