Didn't see this posted yet and I am pretty sure these guys need some props!
Guys its awesome that you organize all this stuff you rock out!
http://theredskinsblog.com/
Last week, I posted a couple of reminders that the buses were leaving earlier, so people who were planning to see the buses off should adjust their schedules accordingly. These weren’t particularly controversial messages, but they did generate some email, most of which contained a variation of “Do people really see the buses off?”
Yes. Yes, they do.

The sendoffs are organized by Christie Lopez (Huly on ExtremeSkins) with her husband Chris (pez on ES), and they’ve actually become something of a big deal. “This is my third or fourth year doing them,” she says. “After Coach Gibbs retired I was not sure if this was going to end or not. I know Gibbs loved it and the team seemed to enjoy it too so with a new coach I was not sure what to expect. I hope Zorn likes it also as the fans enjoy having them.”
That was a bit of question as of the opener in New York. “In previous years, Coach Gibbs used to stop, come out, say hi, give a couple of words to the group,” Chris says. “Coach Zorn, the Giants game was his first one and had this look on his face like ‘What the…?’”
But the Dallas send-off brought a promising development: Coach Zorn stopped by, spent some time, and asked the assembled group what they were doing there instead of Texas.

The group arrives about an hour before the buses leave to get things set up and get people in place (and off the road) by the time the buses depart. Before the Dallas game, Chik-Fil-A dropped off a bunch of sandwiches for them to eat, and many of the fans adjourned to a nearby brewpub after the buses rolled out to watch college football and make a day of it.
I gave Casey Rabach a camera to document the roadtrip (much, much more from this once we’ve gotten some technical issues sorted out); here’s a short video of the fans from the inside of the bus, plus some commentary from Casey and Todd Yoder.

Very Cool to read about this! I met Huly & Pez when we all went to the Hall Of Fame this past year...it's people like Huly & Pez that make me proud to be a part of Extremeskins.

Beautiful. Glad to see Huly and Pez get some well deserved recognition.

I like that picture of Zorn in the suit. It looks like he's goofing around with the little kid in light shorts and burgundy T-shirt. Pretty cool he took time out to do that...

That's cool! Matt actually tailgated with me and Paige3girl and some others for a while last game over at my usual spot.
I actually emailed him a few weeks ago, asking if he knew why 'Tana had changed his player gloves this year after wearing the same ones for three years. After all, these were his Monday Night Miracle gloves. Within three hours, Matt emailed me back. He said he met up with Santana on the practice field and 'Tana told him Reebok stopped production of them, so he had no choice but to change.
It's cool that we, as fans, have that link to the players.

Pez,
Has there ever been any thought about kicking this thing up a notch to get more people to come out? How about a raffle or some door prizes? Or what about a little food and beverages? Maybe we could work out a way that we could all buy some tickets or something so it all does not come out of someones pocket. I was just thinking that it could get more people out and really make this an even bigger deal for the fans and the players. BTW, it is already awesome and I had a great time. I am planning to come to as many as I can, including tomorrow.

During cold weather, especially the welcome homes, we have been known to break out hot chocolate, coffee, hot cider, donuts, etc...
But we really haven't made a "tailgate" out of this. We just wish we could get more folks out there...

If we were to get a few items of ES Gear that we could sell raffle tickets for and all sign up for different food items. Would you want to do something like that? I would buy a ticket for a chance to win an ES hat. And I would definitely sign up to bring a case of water or something. However, if you want to keep the overhead on this thing simple, I would totally understand.

Wow, that's a great read. I'm sure players that haven't been here their entire tenure truly appreciate the courtesy. Great to hear that Zorn has taken a liking to it as well.

If we could get large groups out there on a regular basis, I could see us doing a bit more, but again... we need more folks out there!
Tell everyone to come out... bring your friends, family, etc

There's not much more that I can add that hasn't already been said. Never had the privilege to meet you guys yet, but i'm always hoping it's only a short time away.
Hail!

Please take some pics! I can't be there tomorrow and am awfully curious about what Huly has crafted. I'm thinking of different Native American weapons and what they could do to an eagle...
Win or lose, I'm planning on the welcome home, though!

I'm kind of worried about what you might get back on that camera from Rabach, especially if Cooley and Yoder or some of the other players get their hands on it when nobody's looking.

Very cool! I wish I could get up there sometime, life on Sat is rather hectic.
Thanks for all of you that do get out there! HTTR!
Thanks Chris and Christie and all the ESers that get out there!
I loved seeing Zorn out there the last game goofing around with the fans. He seems like such a great guy. Snyder picked a good HC, IMO!

Being up here in WVa, I really miss being there :(. I've had great times with everyone who have shown up for send-offs and welcome homes. I'm hoping to make 1 or 2 this year when I'm back in Maryland.
