Funny. There's a link to a vid (after that one is finished) of a "BRadyFan83" who made a Billy Joel "We didn't start the fire" parody titled "What coach should I hire?" The video was clearly making fun of Snyder and the hiring process.

Considering JKC was about 40 years older than Snyder, probably not lol...but the thing is, who cares. And I damn well guarantee you that Snyder would be heavily criticized today for some of the things JKC did 25 years ago.

You people will jump on Synder's ass for ANYTHING!! Can't you people see ANYTHING positive about this guy??? Dammit some of you make me sick. If you wanna rag his ass about ticket pricing/stadium issues/etc go ahead, might have some valid points. But you CAN NOT rag his ass for being as passionate if not MORE passionate than the average fan.

Hell yeah I wanna see the owner of my team fist pumping and celebrating a HUGE win. Guess you would rather he be the owner of the KC Royals, you know.. Just collect money from collective bargaining and refusing to put any money back into the team. Give me a guy that opens the wallet, even if he has signed some over the hill retreads... Are you ever positive? Take a hint. Come back in a couple of days when clowns and naysayers are welcome to be ridiculed once again. There is nothing simple about a road game to a division opponent. I love that he shows emotion. If I owned the team, then I would too!!! If you don't think he should show emotion, then take the pineapple out of your butt!!!

I have supported Snyder since the beggining, and I think it is great to have an owner that cares about the product he puts on the field. He wants to win and it shows. I wish some people would realize this.

He may not make the best decisions, but at least he is trying to put a winning team on the field! I will take someone like that anyday. An quality effort is all I can ask for.

I will take an emotional owner over a stingy stick in the mud owner that doesn't care about his team anyday!!

Do you think that Jack Kent Cooke used the phrase "pimp daddy." Do you think that he would be proud to have his name in the same sentence, much less, being called that?

The only thing that I find embarrasing is the way members on this board consistently look at the negative and never look at the positive.

We have a good emotional owner/fan! The negativity regarding Snyder and this team need to cease.

I like his enthusiasm and devotion to the team. Any real Redskins fan was doing the same and more after the game. It's called passion. And frankly, I think passion for anything shows a hell of a lotta class. It is your negativity and hatred of Snyder that is classless.

And yes, JKC was often quite vocal...he just liked to use a lot of colorful four letter words when he was talking....most of which could never make it into the Washington Post. JKC was known to do some serious trash talking.

Snyder needs tone it down. You get excited after playoff wins like JKC. Not regular season games.

These were two HUGE on the road victories against our hated division rivals. They do not come much bigger than these two games. Snyder's been waiting for his team to turn the corner and these two victories show the team needs to be considered among the best in the NFL.

Every REAL Redskins fan was acting the same way after the game. If YOU can't figure out how huge these two wins were, then you just don't get it. If you weren't excited then you are not a Redskins fan.

You know, they charge $10 for beer at Tampa Bay Storm AFL games. When I gave someone a free ticket, all they had to do was buy me two beers to pay me back. Also, I don't think Snyder sets the beer prices, the vendors do. He just gets a fee from them for the space.

And at FedEx, a hot dog and soda costs $11. Private parking is available at FedEx for $25.

So what is your point?

The costs of food, drink and parking at FedEx is in line with any other NFL team that has sellouts and has tickets in high demand.

Yep, yep....they are so bad they almost beat the cowgirls and lots of sports pundits had them returning to the NFC championship and Super Bowl this year....

Our defense shut down Westbrook and Jackson who were running roughshod over the previous 4 opponents (until Westbrook got hurt against the Bears.) You should learn to respect quality opponents even if we hate them. Reid and the Eagles have been to a lot more playoff games than we have over the past ten years.

For all the grief he's been given over the years from me and others, it's somehow cool to think of him as just another fan - maybe a multi-billionaire fan, but still a fan.

Better him than a thousand other whiny rich boys who only care about the bottom line.

i'll drink his 8 dollar beers if his team keeps winning...and if they loose, too...and i won't ***** about it either way because I love going to games and I have had some of the best times of my life at that stadium...and i have a feeling i will have many more in the next few years...

they need to have danny boy in the pregame huddles where they give a small speech about how they gonna whoop that ass. then he holds his hand in the air and the huddle joins around him and he says "PHYSICAL ON 3" then he proceeds to chest pound everyone including zorn.:cheers:

I thought he looked like George Costanza getting excited after he had the Yankees winning in the new cotton uniforms. :silly:

Anyway like I said earlier....good to see Danny letting it out and getting excited. Thank god we don't have an owner like plastic face in Dallas pacing the sidelines each game.

not at all. he just needs to class it up a little. take a page out pimp daddy jack kent cooke's book. you think JKC would be bellowing that way? or yelling "physical"? its just a little embarrasing

I think your looking to hard to find something to complain about.

Consider a closely fought contest where his team came back and won.

Did you not get excited? I know I did.

Rudechain
October-6th-2008, 06:26 AM
Snyder needs tone it down. You get excited after playoff wins like JKC. Not regular season games.

If this is the worst thing, then I will take it.

An owner getting a bit pumped up after a thrilling victory on the road to a division rival.

I swear some of you are not happy unless you have something to complain about.

Yeah, and you'd be how different as an owner? I can't believe some of you here trying to suck the life out of this GREAT winning streak. Look at what we are doing man, we are "OWNING" these so called great teams with a rookie head coach and JC has arrived.

I'll tell you what. Go and get about 1.5 billion dollars and buy the team. Then tell me what you would do.

You don't have to go to the games, you don't have to park and pay those rates. And you don't have to buy any Redskins items. It takes a lot, and boy do I mean a lot, of money to own and run a football team. Should someone simply flush that money away and not hope to recoup an investment?

It's very true. some of you simply can't be happy unless you can find something to complain about. Personally, I respect anyone that can purchase the team they grew up a fan of. There are no college courses entitled NFL OWNERSHIP 101. Therefore, they have to learn on the job.

Attendance is voluntary.
Snyder makes money. So what. That's what America's all about. You have the option to stay home and watch on TV but then you might have to complain to the cable company for raising their rates, too. (Comcast just did last week, the bastards!)

Part of your statement is inaccurate. It wasn't Snyder who decided to cancel metrobus service to the stadium, that decision belonged to the U.S. Department of Transportation. Here's a portion of the article that appeared in the Washington Post on 08/06/2008:

"Washington Redskins fans will no longer be able to take a shuttle bus from the Landover Metro station to FedEx Field.

The team used to charter shuttle buses from Metro, but new federal guidelines prohibit public transit agencies from providing charter bus service if private companies are available to provide the service. Last year, Metro chartered nearly 2,500 buses for revenue of $1.6 million.

The Redskins said yesterday that they were unable to obtain a season-long waiver from the Federal Transit Administration. The team tried to hire a private bus company but would have had to increase shuttle fares too much, officials said."

Ha! He sounded like me after the game. People around the league love to talk bad about Dan, I never understood why. He was a fan of the Redskins growing up as a kid like many of us on this blog. Now he's the majority owner. Don't you think the success of the Redskins are always in his best interest. I love the emotion he displayed. I'm just glad he didn't say hip-hip-hooray!

You never want your owner celebreating anything other than some sort of championship. Division , conference or world.

When he acts like the players feel pompous. IN DALLAS IN PHILLY. So what. Let the fans do that. You keep you composure until they win the NFC and you are holding a trophy.

I don't know, man. I'm sure most owners act that way after big wins within the division. You just don't know it because it's usually not caught on tape.

Yes he can act whatever way he wants after a win. And look dumb after they lose to a garbage team. I have not seen a winner of a title in any sport act so popous in any sport much less some division games in the second month of the season. Have you heard the saying after a player scores a touchdown act like you have been there before. FOr a owner after you win in Philly act like you have done it before and you will do it again. You beat a 2-2 team and you are acting like you are repesenting the NFC in the super bowl.

I have no idea how Gibbs worked for him for 4 years. I see why Spurrier was going to quit before his second. He is too much. Too into it.

I know, right? If he wasn't filthy rich, he'd probably be just like the rest of us, trying to find a bar to watch Skins in, staying up late watching highlights of Sean on youtube, venting about our horrible secondary, freaking out when we're down by a field goal at half time...

Funny. There's a link to a vid (after that one is finished) of a "BRadyFan83" who made a Billy Joel "We didn't start the fire" parody titled "What coach should I hire?" The video was clearly making fun of Snyder and the hiring process.

How dem mufuhs be feeling now?

I absolutely love it. We've all said something negative at one time or another about this guy. Then after a while you realize that his heart and wallet were in the right place. Just not his head and supporting staff. Here's a hometown guy who bought his favorite team growing up. Spent billions trying to make it hot on the spot. Ten years and a couple dump truck loads of cash later he understood his way wasn't working. So he went in the opposite direction. Had we slipped up and somehow been winning he would've stayed the course. Á la Jerry Jones. dallass has three rings since he bought the team. We all know their best years were when Jimmy was running the show. Jimmy built that team and earned all three of those rings not two. Somehow Jurrah claims it as success under his guidance. Hence the fruitless organization that it is today. I only see Danny on gamedays when they pan up to the owner's box. I'm fine w/ that. So for him to celebrate to me means alot. Here's a guy who finally gets it. And now the franchise can move forward. You gotta give him props for being in the box on camera as the game is being played. If he's as big of a fan as we are. Who doesn't flip on a bad spot it call? He can't on live tv. How many of us would love to rip D.Hall or someone else in secondary after giving up a huge play? Then he sees them in the locker room or around the organization. Nope, he's the owner. He's gotta play it down the middle.

What a team we have that people are making youtube videos about the owner's penchant for coach-hopping. You think people would ever make one for SEA's or MIN's or TB's owner? Does anyone even know who owns those teams?
