I don't understand what people expect to gain by doing this.

First, gives a crap who media figures pick? I'm sure our players don't. It has zero impact on the game. Second, do you really believe a mass email campaign is going to change any minds? If I'm a sports anchor and I receive email after poorly written email about the Redskins I'm probably more annoyed than anything else.
