I just wanted to give a shout out to Buges!!! The old run game is back and the O-line has been playing great! With everything he has been through these past couple months he deserves these wins along with everyone else!
Congrats!

Very, very true. I was just thinking this earlier. I'm so happy Buges is here and the O-line is performing to his credit.

He has had a tough few months. I would think perhaps he finds escape with the guys on the team.
He is like a beloved uncle to any of us older fans

I think he ends up in the HOF one day, especially if he gets another ring.

I was happy when Coach Zorn decided to keep Buges around(Maybe Danny twisted his arm?). Anyways. Keeping the Oline coach and promoting the D coach from within are KEY reasons to why we are winning. Franchises that continue to hire/fire/hire/fire coaches(*ahem* raiders) will continue to suck. In our case we kept the core offense and defense principles intact along with the playmakers that have been together for a while. Its paying off. Great coaches surround themselves with experts at their position. They dont try to force square pegs into round holes. Coach Zorn is finding round pegs for round holes.

Joe Bugel is like Father Time.....it's amazing how long he's been a coach with the Skins. Way to go, Buges! Somebody help me out: is it true that the Redskins have changed their blocking schemes this season to be better in tune with Clinton Portis' running style?

I'll put him up there with Vince Lombardi, George Allen and Joe Gibbs. He's the best at his coaching position and nobody comes close to it or him. He'll always be remembered here and I'm glad he stayed.
Hail Joe Bugel!

Could be my imagination though.

Buges!!!I'm so proud that his unit is doing so well. The O-line is playing well for him. He's endured a lot of adversity they seem to be playing for him.

How long has he been with the 'Skins? I know he was the one that coined "The Hogs".
Thanks, Buges. For everything. For sticking it out when we weren't so hot and for helping bring respect to this football club.

Cooley's also stepped his blocking game WAY up bigtime this year.

I think that he's been forgotten about this season. I've forgotten about him except for when he's on TV.
I'm so happy to have him on this team.

Zorn really respects his running system. I love seeing the 1 -3 man counter runs of old.

Absolutely doing a great job once again - Warren Sapp said Bugel's coaching prowess would be the difference maker in the Eagles game and he was right.

This is what Bugel needs. He can take his mind off of the painful loss. He can bond with his team and players. He can surround himself with positive things all day and give himself a purpose.

No, that happened a few years ago when they incorporated more zone blocking schemes to allow Portis to choose his own cut back lanes, which he's very good at doing.
The run game is in fact the only part of the offense that is unchanged from last year, right down to the terminology. Zorn did that on purpose to simplify the transition to his passing offense.

Thanks for that link. That was pretty awesome for an o-line coach to get singled out like that - that segment was all about him. :)

Does anyone have a video link to this?
I'm curious what it means - did Bugel not like Saunders, or is he just looking forward to facing a former colleague this week?
