Badly thrown ball. INT Texas. (May put them ahead.)

21-20 OU at the half. The hype: this game is living up to it.
I went to the Cotton Bowl this morning for a little bit for Game Day. I couldn't move and almost got trampled. It was a great atmosphere.

Arguably the rivalry in all of sports.
So, have you seen, I think it was OU's second TD?
Larry
October-11th-2008, 01:57 PM
Oklahoma's goal line stands are keeping them in the lead.

the deflected one? Yep, that was a heads-up play by the WR. Bradford is having his way with the up tempo offense, but made that one mistake. The 2nd half is gonna be good.

Another great football name, there, too. "Loadholt". :)

Big 12 game, and neither team can run the ball.
Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:15 PM
Both QBs looking both smart and accurate.
This conference isn't exactly known for producing NFL QBs, but they might be, here.

yeah, neither team has that Adrian Peterson or Ricky Williams type back that will get yards on the ground. Colt McCoy is UT's running back, pretty much.

TX inside the 20.
I think, if I'm them, I do for the end zone. They haven't been able to punch it in from short yardage.

touchdown!

This is a much better game than Monday Night was.

Texas feeling inspired.
I think they think they've got a chance. :)

:wtf:
A fake punt on 4th and 6 on your own side of the field?
When you're up by 1 point?

OMG fake punt! WOW!! Looked pretty good, but he was JUST short!

Least that penalty wasn't as bogus as the other one.

intercepted...there's Colt's mistake to counter Bradford's.
edit: apparently it wasn't caught??
Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:34 PM
OK, that wasn't an INT.
I was gonna be REALLY ticked.

October-11th-2008, 02:36 PM
idk how that wasn't a INT, ground causing the fumble? I mean...I'm glad, but still.

October-11th-2008, 02:36 PM
Liked the music from that commercial. Good, Bad, and Ugly I think. (Although I don't know why they altered it.)

First angle they showed, looked to me like it was coming out sooner.
The one they showed after the commercials, yeah, I think it was a pick.

I have to say, as much as I'm cheering for Texas, UT is getting some favorable calls.
Larry

Agree with the announcers. Both teams are getting gifts from the officials.

I don't have a rooting interest in this game, but this officiating has been absolutely atrocious. 2 complete BS roughing the passer penalties on Oklahoma and then calling an incomplete pass on an obvious interception in the endzone.
Duckus
October-11th-2008, 02:40 PM
Goes both ways. On the "INT" play, the Oklahoma player was manhandling UT's TE. That same player then caught the "int" after the play broke down. The call could just as easily been defensive holding.
Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:42 PM
I agree that OKs first TD likely wasn't.
(Although the official was right there, staring right at it, and he had a better view than the camera did.)
Those 2 "late hit out of bounds" penalties against OU were complete fabrications.
And I'm changing my mind, that was an INT in the end zone.
(And BTW: I, and both parents, went to OU.)
Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:44 PM
If Texas could score red zone TDs, this game would be a blowout.

Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:47 PM
Agree with the announcers, that wasn't much of a penalty.
Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:47 PM
OU lucky they didn't lose 10 on that play.

touchdown OU, going for two.
Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:51 PM
Don't know if I agree with going for 2.
If 2 would put them up by 7, I could see it. But going for 2 so you can go up by 6?
Larry
October-11th-2008, 02:52 PM
