I know we heard earlier in the week that Smoot was doubtful, now Vinny just mentioned that Springs is doubtful as well. That concerns me with Edwards and Winslow playing. Does this concern any of you?

Yes it does concern me. Springs is pissing me the **** off. Every single ****ing year Springs.

Concerns the hell out of me. With Rogers banged up and Horton a gametime decision it could be a disappointing Sunday.

I hope our front 7 can put the heat on D.A. Otherwise it might be a long day

Edit: So Springs, Smoot & Horton might not play? And of course Doughty.

So that leaves Landry, Rogers, Moore, Torrence, Green & Tryon. That's concerning....

I'm really getting sick of Springs and his nagging injuries. The guy just refuses to play at anything less than 100% because all he's worried about it not getting burned and looking good.

Watch Smoot, I bet he plays and Springs sits.

Awesome. So our DBs will consist of:

RCB - Rogers
SS - Banged up Horton
FS - Landry
LCB - Banged up Smoot
NCB - Torrence

hell yeah it does. Thats why I started a thread about it. Looks like Rogers and Torrence. I'm confident in Torrence, but not against Stallworth. Landry is going to have his work cut out for him.

We will definitely see J.T. Tryon this week which is not a good thing.

I wasn't feeling good about this game already because of last weeks performance. Now I feel as bad as I did after the Giants game in Week 1.

We may have just lost the game via injury.

I never say things like that.....but seriously.....this is INSANE

You cant tell me they wont throw Tryon, and Torrences way EVERY PLAY.

No not worried at all. I'd rather have Torrence and tryon back there any day. :)

Smoot's probably not going to play either, he's listed as doubtful.

The Rams were extremely banged up in their secondary and we didn't exploit it according to the announcers last week. Our pass rush will need to step up.

I would rather springs play with 1 leg than Tryon play......seriously

If Springs is on the team next year, they seriously need to evaluate his off season training program.

Springs won't play hurt....that's the problem. He's our best corner when healthy, but he's also the biggest baby on the team when it comes to playing with an injury. He just won't do it.

This just means that Taylor and Carter need to beat the crap out of Anderson.

and/or we need to outscore them.

We may have to play D with our O; we'll need to stop leaving points on the field and letting drives stall.

Great teams find a way to beat a lousy Browns team anyway!

The browns are not as good as it they appear. they were 10-6 with an easy schedule last season. They did try to improve their defense in the off season and had a nice game Monday Night..That's them in a nutshell.

Skins should Whoop ass if they are a serious contender IMHO.

We have a bunch of ******* at DB. Springs is always hurt and Smoot is a complete drama queen.

Well guess who needs to step up then: The offense - and we need to score like never before and keep them out of the game as much as possible.

pjfootballer
October-17th-2008, 11:29 AM
Yeah, Springs and his nagging injuries are getting old. He needs to take a paycut next season or be cut. We can't keep a $7 million dollar CB on the roster who only plays 10 games a year. This is getting insane. A calf injury....A freaking calf injury. Unless it's pulled or has blood in it, get your ass on the field.

OK, but I don't see how that's going to help.

Shouldn't we be keeping an eye out for a "Let's Bring in Ty Law before the Dolphins/Cowboys get him" thread?

Torrence and Tryon has our starting CBs? Landry and Green as the safeties? Could get ugly.

JStone1920
October-17th-2008, 11:41 AM
As for my first post on ES, I too must voice my disgust for Springs. As someone said before, getting paid 7 million to play 10 games is just stupid. I really do think he will be let go at the end of this season, which hopefully isnt until February. As bad as Torrence was made out to be on that bomb vs. the Rams, overall, he isn't a terrible corner to have out there. I'm not worried about Edwards, more worried about Stallworth. Put Rogers on Edwards, and Torrence..who is faster than Rogers, on Stallworth with Landry's help and I think we'll be fine.

NinjaGaiden
October-17th-2008, 11:42 AM
The DBs need to take in more vitamins or some sh*t lol. Just because Rogers play doesn't mean he is going to be 100% out there. The Browns can pass on us now which will be the benefit to them. I'm sure they will look forward to throwing than running because I doubt they will be able to run past Fletcher. It is still messed up situation though because we need atleast 85% of our guys healthy back there.

Whoa, I've been in San Diego the past couple days.....so Springs, Smoot, Rogers, Horton, and Doughty are all out? That is horrible.

*edit* Redskins Insider says they are expected to play against the Browns.

We will definitely need to beat the Browns on offense. I say we put up atleast 35 points!

Regardless of his talent, this guy has the best work schedule of anyone getting paid in America. Work one day, take the next couple weeks off. Work one more day and then take the next couple of weeks off.

What I don't get is if he is a game-time decision...why wouldn't he be listed as "Questionable" on the Injury Report??? Instead he's listed as "Doubtful".

Gosh dangit Springs! Can you please get through a week without a ****in' injury?! Did you drink enough milk as a kid?
