Are Jones and Phillips on same page?

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on his weekly radio show this morning that quarterback Tony Romo "looks like he'll be able to play Sunday."
He reported that Romo was able to snap off some hard throws, and he talked about how important it was to win Sunday's game.
"We shouldn't compromise ourselves relative to our win-loss record," said Jones on 1310 The Ticket. "We got to get in the playoffs."
The message was clear (by Jones' standards). If Romo is anywhere close to healthy, the Cowboys think they have a lot better chance of winning.
"Fundamentally, you obviously feel that when Tony can play good, it gives us a chance to win. That's obvious. Do you not give yourself the best chance to win?"
He suggested that in some ways Sunday's game in St. Louis is more important than upcoming games against the Bucs and Giants. And he's right. If the Cowboys lose to the Rams on Sunday, their playoff hopes are in serious trouble.
Now, the strange thing is that Wade Phillips comes out this morning and basically contradicted the team's owner. In listening to Phillips for 10 minutes, it seemed like he held out little hope for Romo playing this weekend.
